Mr turbo 12r sighted today

http://www.dontbescaredracing.com/photos/hpshootout

At the dyno shootout today, although he wouldn't run it on the dyno because he was having "tuning problems" but he did say it was making approximately 200rwhp.

I sure hope it makes a helluva lot more than that!!!!!

He is local and from the up close look I got of the wheels attached to that wheelie bar it has never been used. He did zip up and down the street a couple times but nobody was impressed... especially the turbo hayabusa making 252rwhp on the dyno while we were there! My bike made 221 today so I was happy with that.

why the hell would u put wheelie bars on a bike but leave the passenger pegs on? screams poseur to me...
i'v not been to fond of mr turbo (no i'v never owned one). i'm sure they'r great for people who know nothing in that they look very simple to install & rnt wild enough to cause engine probs, but they jsut dont put out enough power. u'd be better off buyin a big bore kit.

Oh you've got to be kidding me?? A Mr. Turbo product not working as promised?? Thats..thats unbelievable! (insert truck load of sarcasm here)

Im very curious to see what Velocity Racing comes up with for hp #s. If its anything like the Busas or GSXRs, it will be very promising for us 12 owners!

Congrats on the big hp #s Bergie!

I think it would be much more sexy if he would also put his racing numbers on the bike. That definitly will impress everyone.

Ya, the wheelie bar is pretty gay. It would look alot better with a full exasut and no bar. This is like the 14 second mustangs that drive around with full drag slicks!

BARS???

POser/SQUID for sure...
I did it in the EARLY 80s on my Z1R (rolleyes) SLICK INCLUDED though ...

What bothers me is...the way the struts are mounted...bolts are too long (going through multiple parts) fer me...
SCARY (to me) being bolted to the axle adjuster like that...
I never was crazy about the wheelie bars bolting there when I first saw them in a Pingle add but...
the bars AND the struts? both on ONE bolt?? probaly just threaded into the axle adjuster???
That just plain scares me...

Oh ya...the turbo...waste of time and $$$$ without an intercoooler...just my .02...

I too thought an intercooler was the way to go, but the way the 12 runs hot here in FL, I would rather not have something blocking 80% of the radiators frontal area.
With the results Velocity Racing has gotten so far from NON intercooled kits, I have to admit Im very curious! 340 hp/ 220 ft lbs on a stock bore Busa is pretty damn impressive!
The bottom line is any of the kits available now are going to require a substansial investment of at least $6k. Kits range from $5400 and up. I would think a set of pistons would be a worthwile investment instead of a spacer plate/gasket to lower the c/r.

Been there done that, bought the T-shirt and spent a friggin fortune and aten times that in time working on the bike. Turbos are fun for a few minutes, especially if done well and someone else pays for the B.S.

Never again!

what bike from velocity is making 340hp and 220 lb ft torque on a stock motor with no intercooler. if its making that much they have pistons and rods in it and water injection. Last I heard(when visiting in idy) was 325 hp on one bike at 22 psi BUT they used a differe4nt turbo on another system and picked up about 10 hp at 11 psi. At the time I dont think they turned it up past that. Should net more up top.
