yes sir i know both those members of TFA.
That was from the 1st running of the Texas mile.
Chris (BADZXELEVEN aka SLEEPERBUSA) is on the green & black Busa. He melted a Carpenter head that day. Had a bad headgasket (bubbling into the overflow), but sprayed it anyway rsn 192??
Johnny Cheese is on eversuffering 1397 turbo Coppertop; bike ran 210.
My bike also quickly developed a bad head gasket, same bubbling, because i ignorantly ran 90 octane Nutec SP5+ (oxy) with very high compression. Got 194 but had to tear the motor down.
TFA had fun anyway.

Yeah - the tape is reminiscent of the super-secret Krinkle Kut boundary layer tape that Honda used on their RC51 superbikes in the 2000 (2001?) Daytona 200.

This was the first guy to ever go down the Texas Mile on a bike.(181mph)
This guy went right behind him.(182mph)

He went 192mph on the pass he just returned from.
This was the 193mph pass that finished off the engine.

Yep. I know those guys too!! John and Chris are great guys for sure!
I even met George once at John's old shop. He stopped in when Mad Mike and I were down there.
