Sorry Gary. I won't be coming to Austin this weekend. I just found out today that the deal I was working on fell through.

I don't think TexMex can be eaten well; it's intended to be eaten "good".

No worries there. I will definitely let you know if I am going to be in town.

However it looks like the next time I'm going to be down that way will be for the Mile in the spring.

Ryan,
Casa Entropy has yr suite ready for March, and grandma is looking forward to Bill's return. Tell him he doesn't even need to use that ole "ambien excuse".

Tim,
yep, in Texas, eating Texmex is eating good.
come to the mile and compare it with socalmex.

SoCalMex??? Thats for little girls!!! Yep no sprouts in our tacos, No flax oil in our tamales (100% lard), No humus in our borritos either!!!! Unless you visit Hippie Austin!

After highschool I road my old 1984 900 Ninja from Houston to San Diego and stayed for about 8 months --------------I must admit I enjoyed the Mexican food. My favorite fast food
Mexican in SoCal was Alberto's. Great Tacos and Real Heavy Hitter Borritos. Good TFA consumption matterial.

Karl you back playing in the garage???? Just don't de-mag your flywheel.

I will say that the years I spent in Ft. Worth confirmed that there is a massive difference between Texas Mexican food, TexMex, SoCalMex and Mexican food. I was glad to return to California (Aztlan), along with its increasingly authentic Mexican food offerings. My dogs refuse to eat SoCalMex (Taco Bell), and they've convinced me to do the same.
