Maybe next test, no baffle for sidewinder and no can for the propipe?
Dang, we are going to have to start up an Entropy test fund!

yes to the SW no baffle, already have an appointment, but unfortunately no to ProPipe no can. gotta draw the line somewhere
BTW an entrpy test fund would need to be sizeable.
I fully expect that my ole crate is gonna start complaining about all this abuse...

After cam settings do you plan on a tear down or will you just bump the CR and take her
to the track/mile.
Non-related, I keep forgeting to ask about the TFA shirts. You showed me yours and I ment to give you some money before you left the other Sat. If you will be headed over to Austin in the near future I'll just give you the money for a 2x and a 5x for my Brother. Just let me know how much. thanks

Looking at the differences in the pipe design, the Brock SW has smaller primaries and is of a 4-2-1 design, whereas the Muzzy has relatively larger primaries and is of a 4-1 design. Smaller primaries and a 4-2-1 layout (regardless of whether the primary pairing is 180* or 360*) would generally mean that the design is biased toward midrange performance at the expense of some top-end, which is what the dyno showed.
BTW, I already have my official TFA shirt, and it's fabulous!

Gary,
after cam tests (if it lasts that long) ill tear it down, prob bump CR a tad, get ready for the Mile.
I have TFA T's ready for all those who committed to them incl yours and especially Robert's cause he is the all time TFA role model. Just a matter of getting the time to pack em up and send em.
You coming down to Space City any time soon?

Tim,
thanks for taking a look at the pipe differences.
Now, go out on a limb and make a prediction for the SW without the baffle...

Yeah, it's pretty bad up here right now. I've been chipping ice off of everything. I was outside last night at 12-1am will my pole saw trimming tree branches that had broken due to the weight of the ice. I had one on my neighbor's house that I thought I better get before he woke up.

Are you headed to JC or Andy's this weekend? Cam testing?
Ryan, your neighbor must have thought he had some large rats getting warm in his attic!
Hope the weather gets a little better for you all up there. It's been real mild down here.

Going with hookers is always best if the option is available. Now if these hookers were to remove the baffle in the SW pipe (assuming the baffle is properly designed - hey, I've paid for my hour with the hookers, I can have them do anything I want), I wouldn't expect to see much difference on the dyno. In fact, I'd be surprised if it results in more than a 1% change. You will notice some differences at part-throttle and during throttle transitions, but I don't think your mission profile includes very much of that.

Watch out, them Garage Barbies get jealous easy and might throw a wrench in. I'd say the HP band will move to the right and maybe 1-2HP over what the SW is at now.
My idiots guess as I thought I was following this thread until the Hookers showed up.

Gary,
It hasn't broken yet :f.ingerscrossed
So far , about 130 constant rpm FactPro steps (many at 10000-12000rpm) and 44 JC dyno sweeps.
How much more can it take????
did some experiments at Andy's this morning, went from 198 to 200.4 to 201.2 FP hp @ 12000rpm.
mojo hp from 9000 to 12000
It'll be interesting to see what i can get now on JC dyno.
Ryan,
yes indeed i am now totally deaf.
Holding that sumbitch at 12000 with an unbaffled BDE SW in an enclosed dyno room... YIKES. Even with ear plugs AND ear "muffs", it was literally painful

so more hp with the sidewinder than the pro pipe. do you think it could have made that much with the pro pipe with more tuning?

1.6% increase? I guess I stand corrected.

Tim,
don't concede so quickly
Power at 12k is great to brag about but 9-11k is where the action is...
I'll give you a call tomorrow.
KZ,
you are correct about the tuning. On every set of pulls we get the map closer and closer. If i went back to the Muzz ProPipe and played with it at these cam settings we could get a bit better numbers.
BUT, now it is time to put the Muzz Pipe back on and start some cam CL testing

201.2 HP from a FactoryPro, very impressive! I am sure Andy was in a very good mood and will have stories to tell for years to come!
When and where do the Cam tests start?
Heard JC is a little under the weather.
Ryan, you coming to Austin?
