#7 is apparently part of a top secret training regimen for xdot racing.

Karl I just found my phone.
No THANK YOU!!!!
And just think I bent my conduits at like 23 degrees or 36 degrees for offsets so if another electrian has to match them it makes them think.
Always be thinking.

Yep, that motor was putting out!!! I think Karl still has some room to make more HP, as he has it conservative right now.
Can't wait to see 240+ next time!!!
JC, thats brutal!!!! Your going to have to start signing those bends just so they know who is giving them all that grief!!!

They are Union! They know everything!!
Gary,
make 240??? hmmmmmmm...
I am 110% ecstatic with low 230's.
But lets see what the BDE SW does, maybe it'll help give a few more ponies??

Karl, maybe you should move to Sunoco where they make Race fuels and would give you some neat stuff to use! Seems like as good as Chevron Aviation fuel and commercial gasoling is, they could make some SERIOUS Race fuel if they "WANTED" to!

V/H I have yet to see a sunoco race fuel make more HP and torque than 87 or 93 pump gas

They do have an Oxygenated fuel SOld at the Gas Station under the usual name of Cam 2 that gave me abour 4 more hp! 3.7 to be exact The neat thing is the stations in Columbus and the one in Maryland (I used to Visit) were right on the street! Drive up and fill up!
Now I use Torco 116 octane with the NOS $7.50 per gallon! (I can Almost aford that!)

Cool, Oxy-fuel at the Gas Station! I need to find a place here in Austin that sells some of the good stuff at a reasonable price as the place I usually went to is no longer there. They had real good prices on C-12, C-16, and a couple other Oxy-fuels. Always fresh too, as they did a lot of car drag racing.

8% increase doesn't sound like much, but when it is on top of fairly extreme set up, that 8% becomes a HUGE step improvement.
I have been chasing that 8-10% for 4 years, and am BUZZZZED about current results.
different head, cams, & extensive tuning on fuel & timing.
JohnnyCheese got the map close on his Dynojet 250 dyno last weekend with 43 pulls (sweeps).
Yesterday on the FactoryPro, Andy did 65 rpm-specific tuning tests under constant load, systematically changing timing then fuel.
holding the motor at 12000rpm for 3-5 sec is nerve wracking :makethesignofthecross
tomorrow i'll take off the Muzzy ProPipe and put on the Brock SW for comparison
THEN next week we start testing different cam CL's after DarkFalcon (on SH.org) "does some math..."
DF's "math" generated the head/cams setup I am testing now
Andy executed DF's porting mods
Y2K rebuilt the head with his secret seat cutter design
BTW: I am amazed that the motor is holding together for this level of stress.
My ever-patient, "wide stance, no tapping", pazole-eating, tequila-swilling California mentor sure knows what he is talking about.

don't know what it would make on JC's now.
Dynojet and FP are different.
The Q is: which tune will make more on the track.

tested Brock SW vs Muzzy ProPipe today.
Now that the baseline testing is done and the motor still sounds great, it is time to do a lil cam CL testing.

with the baffle in, the SW made more hp 6-8k, but the ProPipe made 1-2 more 9-11k
i haven't tested the SW with the baffle out. yet...

Yea its huge Karl. 1500 booths, 1,000,000 square feet, 45,000 people. Those were the numbers from years past anyway, its bigger now.
I met with 2 of the 8 or so piston companies about getting a real properly designed application specific piston for the Busa/zx14/zx12 and made good progress. I talked with
the engineers directly about the current problems with all the offerings and we have come up with chamges in three areas of the piston that whould help with durability in strokers and power above 9700 rpm where ring response and flutter have been ongoing issues.
So some prototypes are in the works.
Also Total Seal has some new offerings that they are willing to make in 85/86/87 mm piston size. I think I have them convinced of the market size and viability of tooling up to make this new ring package.
But for now were stuck here in orlando on a canceled flight from last night. I guess the ice storm messed up the flights. so with any kind of luck we will get out of here today.

Very interesting. Just curious if you happen to know off hand what the dia. difference
is on the primary collecting tubes and also the 4-1 size was as well..............Or does it
have something to due with the number of 90 degree bends? .......................Or is it more
about flow harmonics?
This stuff is too interesting, I love it!
What do the powers that be say why they figured on over another?

I sent some dimensions, maybe he'll have some thoughts???
I am now curious about BDE SW wo baffle and plan to test it this Fri.
some folks say no hp diff, some say 4-6, but that it is dependant upon the motor config.
I hope my motor like the baffle out more than my ears do...
