mods for stock oil pan for drag racing?
Hey gang, just wondering if anyone out there has modded the stock oil pan for drag racing. im not really interested in going much lower, i just want to make sure the oil pump doesnt suck air at any time. can i add any baffling (guys used to put a gate in the KZ oil pans)or should i trim a bit off of the bottom to bring the oil level up some? i was thinking about moving the oil drain plug to the back/side of the pan to make it less likey to get torn off (i think Mad Mike did this...have pics? ). i might as well do a few more things to try and improve upon stock while im there right? I want my bearing to live as long as possible!

Lots of suzukis have a oil pan gasket that overhangs about a 1" into the engine making a poor man's baffle. Some bike shops have fancy gasket cutters and might could just cut the outside and let you cut the inside yourself for a custom fit.

hmmm i think the old man might have a sheet of gasket material (into heavy equipment) i could just trace out a gasket with the pan and cut the inside to hang out an inch.
MM have any pics of the moved drain plug? did you do anything inside the pan too?
thx!

MM, I did not know you did that as well. We're going to have to put up a post for all the things you and the bikeland fellas do so I can refer people to you all.
MM, I'll give you a call as I was going to have Coby Adams do my stock pan. I'd rather say it was a "MadMike special" though!
