Dry Nitrous..How many Jets?

I am installing a dry setup on my 12R. I plan to use a single jet, shooting into the airbox right in front of the fuse box (very front and center of the airbox). I like the simplicity of a single jet setup.

My question is, is there really anything to gain by use two jets (two lines) in this application? The two jet layout seems to be all the rage these days.

Thanks.

Shane

having dual shots is supposed to mix better with the 2 ram air inlets, but i havent had any expirience with that....yet. im guessing that if it was perfectly centered it wouldnt really make any noticable difference(if it was spraying off to one side it might put a lot more nitrous to two of the pistons). going from the countless posts i have read on the subject, i would point it at the front of the airbox or straight down if i went with 1 jet.

Those that run it in front of the filter,do they remove the filter before spraying?I was wondering if one filter didn't flow as efficient as the other, whether that might make an unevengas flow of nitrous.

you will have issues spraying in front of the filters. i have seen them frost up from the cold acording to how much, and if you spray a small amount then the filters will block some and you get little gain. i spray mine in front too but my filters are gutted i drag race only my bike. muzzy has a sweet rail system that goes in the airbox right over the throtlebodies.

This was my dry setup.
One nozzle halfway between 1&2, the other halfway between 3&4. Both pointing forward towards the airfilters.

depends on how you want it to react.
1 jets gets you a softer hit, some says it not as effecient and can cause uneven distribution.
I don't buy into that when sprayed before the filters.
2 jets hit harder and will require longer wait to spray or a progressive box.
The lastest is 4 nozzel direct injection just like a wet system.
One setup was a complete wet kit without the fuel supply, but it had jets in the fuel side of the nozzel.

Lawson was the first one that I know using dry and he used 1 nozzel for each stage in front of the filters. Worked great for me with a 40 shot.
