Your Car is Slow
Hi buddy,
Hope you remember me from previous posts and e-mails. Anyway finally got the nos up and running at last. I just wanted to ask you a couple of questions if you dont mind. At the present I am using the faceplate on the pc to increase the fuel but I was thinking of getting a custom map made like you have. Do you have two seperate maps, one for the nos and one for every day riding. I dont have a lap top and this will be a real pain. Also have you removed your dip tube from your bottle or have you just positioned it downwards. I ask this because due to my custom undertail my bottle is almost horiziontal and I am worried if it is picking the gas up correctly.
Many thanks

Ninjamissle, next time you are ready to fill the bottle, remove the main valve first and check the direction of the siphon tube. It can be bent to any direction for whatever position your bottle is within the tail. Or if you're worried about it goto a paintball supply and get a flex pickup, it's a flexible pickup line with a weight on the end and always "drops" to the lowest point in the bottle to ensure proper pickup.

Whats up..glad you got your stuff runnin.
I do have 2 maps..however I dont interchange them...im quite lazy I run the nitrous map 24x7....it really only impacts WOT as thats all thats different from my custom map...so fuel economy isnt all that impacted unless im racing. (who gives a shit about gas mileage if your racing anyway right?)
I didnt modify the siphon tube as I really havent seen any problems with it the way it is now....the guy who fills my bottle nearly always gets it full of liquid instead of gas...im getting nearly 3lbs in the 2lb bottle. so im pretty sure its sucking up liquid when im on the juice.
If yours is horizontal..the tube should be laying on the bottom of the tank in either direction...which way is the bottle facing?

Damn..I was under the assumption that the small NOS bottles came with the flex tube and weight from the factory...is it a solid tube?
that would suck :/
This could explain highly inflated numbers on the dyno..but not reflected on the street or track (due to the liquid being pushed to the top of the bottle away from the tube.
Perhaps Ill break it open this week and cut the sumbitch off

YCIS & RAC4IT
Thanks guys. I have already altered the dip tube so it faces down. The reason I'm not sure wether it is working to it's full potential is this: I am currently running the middle size jet (34) and I exspected more of a hit. I have only used a couple of bottles so far so it's early stages but I really exspected more. I will do further investigating at the weekend and let you know.

Don't know... I was hoping someone would post instructions/pictures before
I started hacking on mine but at the last minute I decided to just use the horn button and my existing airshifter
wiring harness and switch since I'm not using it anyway; quick and easy install (for now). Eventually I will go back and wire
the starter button for nitrous and try using the airshifter again,
for now I'm too anxious to get the spray working..

IF it's the schnitz file, i have it. What I really need now is to know
where to locate/splice this green wire, Hopefully not at the solinoid.
HAS ANYONE ACTUALLY INSTALLED NOS ON THE STARTER?

yes i have my nos hooked to the starter wire
i spliced into the wire (blk/r) in the harness under the right inner cover
this wire is blk & white on the switch side of the harness and blk & red on the otherside. Use a test light to confirm wire but harness is under right inner cover sitting on the bike
