WELL................I JUST got back from the track...Made 3 passes all within a couple of hundrenths of each other...Went through ALL gears like butta....1.50- 60,'4.04-330,6.17-1/8@114mph,8.05-1000',9.64-1/4@140.99mph....All 3 within that pass....And were getting progressively better as it got cooler......I CAN'T beleive it went through all the gears.....Before I went out,I cleaned all the lines out with air tool oil....Worked it through the system about 5to 6 shift cycles.....I'm so happy about it I couldn't wait to tell y'all.......Called NOX up and told him the clutch and gearing he suggested worked flawlessly...Went through the 1/4 in top of 5th gear....I need a shiftlight BAD.....Thanks to every single one of you for the help and suggestions.Still don't know what the cause was ,but she be workin...

2nd pass 9.65@140.25 " .053 60' 1.51

I try to get "under the paint" for aerodynamic efficiency as well..lol
my times "first out" with wheelie bar and lockup , two step and few other drag racing upgrades (under trial) a month ago were:
1st pass: 9.713 @ 139 reaction time 0.458 60' 1.51
2nd pass: 9.667 @ 139 reaction time -.037 60' 1.51
3rd pass: 9.694 @ 139 reaction time -.034 60' 1.58
all within .05...just getting started here....did good considering all the new stuff I went out there with and being plagued all day long with clutch cover gasket oil leaks..
got lot of the big work done...but will have to wait until next season to mess any more...have better gearing already on the bike waiting for better 60 foot times and other planning awaiting to unfold in this project...just a matter of time .. so far all is great.. would suprise some folks I know...hehe
Very happy and satisfied with my work and results...and nothing mayor broke...whew....!!
Excuse me for hijacking a bit here Stuart...felt the need to voice out my "initial"results...I have just begun to fight...LOL..
Glad your tranny is ok....

Way to go Salsa...Keep up the good work brother...Passes looked sweet, considering you on a wheelie bar....That takes some of the fun out of it though,(the challenge part of it)...But you are looking at a whole different challenge, bar height, clutch setup,ect.ect.ect.,tire pressure.....Keep us posted on the BIG project.....LOL....

"wheelie bars are for cheaters"
absolutely... I call it "challenge management...."
or micro managing your drag racing the easier way...
Take your pick....Takes less practice to be good with the wheelie bar once set up...I only like going during cool days to the drag strip...I can have my cake and eat it too this way...
I go to the strip to relax from my everyday job...be 50 next month... I deserve it; ... :
Have fun!!

i see where you are coming from
I want to be as quick and fast(more so quick as thats all that really matters in the 1/4) as possible while staying in the street class here. basically no slick and bars and everything else goes!!
Im young, just finished my first season of racing. its becoming my life lol. ill race in any conditions, i love it and need practise!
i love using the "no wheelie bars, no roll cages, no pussies" quote tho.....(especially on my uncle who runs an 8 sec vette)
