best chain lube for hp
This has probably been gone over a million times, but Im new to dragracing my bike.
What is the best chain lube? I have heard that the wax is bad as it is thick and doesnt let the chain spin as freely, (i heard WD-40 was good for dyno shootouts) does anyone have a fav type/brand they use on their drag bike?. I dont care if i have to put it on every wknd. or put it on quite often if i take the bike on the road...(mainly a strip bike)

lots of opinions here.
IMO, if you are running a non O/X ring chain, WD 40 is fine.
If you are running an O/X ring you really don't need anything except a lill chain lube from time to time.

I have an EK-DR2 chain and use gear oil every 25 passes...

Take a serious look at TriFlow! It is Teflon Impregnated Oil. That was ALl I used when I was running NEW (Plastic) Sprockets. It kept the chain cool enough that the plastic never melted. WHen Other kinds of Lube were usedm the teeth on the sprockets melted. Think of it as WD 40 with teflon!

My 130 HP 1015 CC Kawasaki AMA Superbike that I raced in the early 80's and became National #69 on at tracks like Daytona, Charlotte, Road Atlanta, Elkart Lake and other places! I use this to clean my chain and keep it clean!
