U4 fuel and a 30 shot ?

I have made about 6 passes on my zx14 with U4 fuel and a 30 dry shot ( plumed in the ram air tubes) 12% added to my p/c on the top 1/3 throttle These have been my fastest runs set up this way.. ...If i use 93 pump or higher octane race fuel like 110 the bike runs much much slower....Hell it runs better on the motor with u4 with no spray than with 110 octane and a 30 shot ..U4 is the easiest and cheapest fuel i can get around here and would like to keep using it....I just hate having to switch fuels when i go from all motor passes to spray passes ....Is it safe for me to keep using the U4 with spray as long as i keep it to a 30 shot and run my p/c at 12% rich on the top 1/3 of the face plate buttons ?? I'm trying to have my cake and eat it to.. What do you guys think?? Smokin...

A new map for every change lee makes would be very expensive.

Lee, at very least, since you like to keep progressivly trying new set ups, get a cheap laptop, and LM1, or wego3 a/f analyser with wide band o2 sensor, then you can watch it all happen after on the datalogger, at least you'll have an idea where your fuel needs to be on the next step up.

I bought a wego 3, just need to get the bung welded in.

I swore I wouldn't run the NOS until I had it

Shop around the net, they can be found alot cheaper than the first one you might find.....

Only problem with running a Wide Band is the U4 is leaded. He is about ready for a full data logger system though.

Leaded gas is possible; will need more frequent heater calibrations performed on LC-1 (O2 sensor) due to deposits from leaded gas. How often I really do not know...will it eventually kill the o2 sensor don't know either.. I just know the video from Inovative sports says heater calibrations (easy to do) are more frequent with leaded racing gas...

I like the system from innovative sports.. their technical support is good!! It is a neat system to have once installed...not easy to install correctly with out their technical support.....

Spent about $600.00 or so for system...DL-32 ( data logger) and LC-1 (wideband with o2 sensor)

I felt paying for two maps would have been a lot easier not to mention faster....but it is fun (and usefull) to be able to regulate your own maps too...nitrous usually calls for a new map and retarding timing as well as far as I know...

If all you need is 2 -3 maps (ever) I would consider just having it done and skip hassling with a wideband.... not saying it cannot be done...it's a choice...

have had the o2 sensor and data logger for a short while...

did not know U4 was leaded.. ooops.. thanks for info...

Hey Lee, I got the chain in last night. It does have regular rollers. DRZ/2. Almost have my Yosh cams in and degreed also. Now all I need is a clutch to make it go.
