it was 87 degrees when we started.i made it to the 4 quick street bike shootout .they paired me with a old gixxer dragbike on nitrous. he ran 8.5 at 175 to my 9.7 at 144..sure looked fair to me.

I remember when I got my license at Memphis, first pass , pulled the clutch at the 1/8 mile like they wanted and just coasted, but never hit the brakes............

9.89 at 80 mph...............lol

They still made me make the other 5.........., I was like, whats the point?

Hey Zx12mark..
mind telling me what ya got done to your 12? like gearing and such or any mods. I have a04 12 and ran last weekend but didn't do as good as I thought i would. best time was 10.07 141mph

Completely stock motor, stock pipe with can removed. down 1 tooth in front and up 4 in back, lowered, 7 inch rear slick, 6 inch extensions. I weigh 235 so I know the factor there but I was sure i would get better times, was hoping for 9's.....

thanks

as for as the engine goes i put in a muzzy billet basket and a current clutch hub that i drilled the side holes in for more oil.my bike now has almost 39,000 miles and still has the original steels and fibers.it has a micron full system pc3r with microns map that i tweaked alittle but has more horsepower in it if i had a custom map made.-1 toofer on front.
middle hole on rear links, fork tubes slid 1 " up in triple clamp with it strapped tight.
k&n filters. i foot shifted with the kill box even though i have push button capability.
it was 70 degrees i ran the 9.6 with a dunslop 200 on my spare wheel at 38 psi.it has a shinko 190 ultra soft on the wheel now.this tire is like glue.
when i ran that 9.6 a prostock car ran before me. i lined up on one of his tires and my bike hooked up better than ever before. no fucking spinning that dunslop. the next day i ordered the shinko from doug at spencer cycle.118.00 shipped.
i weigh 135#.............thats it
