Most timing systems down here only show 3 decimal places (.000), but I've cut numerous perfect lights in my years of racing. However, most were during time trials when it ok to kill the tree with no chances of losing in case of a red-light.

.5003

have had .4999 as well...........

I try to up root the tree every time...........

Sometimes does not work so good when the clutch gets hot in the 7th or 8th round........., then things go to mid .5s.........

You never really want a perfect light anyway, unless you are in a full on super pro class with line locks, and delay boxes on the bikes........, it is playing with fire........

.50something will send 99% of the folks home every time..........

Our local track (Moroso) ladders us up by reaction times during our 2 qualifiers...So we try and kill the tree. then as we get into the rounds, the better reaction time gets the lane choice. It's cool when the guy your paired with tells you he has lane choice with his .002 light... and I get to inform him that I cut a .001 (that only happened once ) I've had two perfect lights in the last two years, but only in qualifing. A hand full of .00somethings in the last year. But I'm more concerned with the total package.... I get pissed if I run off my dial more than a hundreth

P.S. I need one of those umbrella girls too....
