Well, I would say this:

A high 1.8 and low 1.8 are very different animals. Whatever you gain in 60 ft, assuming you don't have to chop the throttle, will be doubled or better at the end of the track. If you are in the 1.8's now, with some more setup/practice I am sure that mid 1.7's are do-able on stock wheelbase.

What is the redline on that bike, and when does the limiter kick in, according to the tach (which is likely way off)?

Nope, vince... I was informing frEEk that anytime you go with a longer wheelbase as I thought you suggested above, you will need a sticker tire like the shinko...

I think we are now "ALL" on the same pages! I do know enough that everything is a sliding scale!

Add a little more power and you will need more tire More tire will need more wheelbase. More wheelbase will need more tire and More tire will need more Power. It is a never ending cycle where everything changes and can actually SLow you down. That is why I am keeping the Motor HP the same and the NOS very low dose. The SHinko will have a lot of air to off set the traction and is adjusted for on gearing.

longer wheelbase = need for a stickier tire...

I could not leave as hard as I wanted because the rear was not stuck. Yes the front was up a little but the rear was still spinning and the front was down real soon. The do make extensions "IF" I cannot work it out! But with a short arm the degree of Difficulty is Higher and that is the reason for a lower yet front and lower me on the bike and the smaller diameter tire will give me at least 1 tooth more rear gear. Of course, like I needed more things to get into this summer!!

MM are you saying that "I" Cannot get into the 10's "WITHOUT" a longer wheelbase?

who needs longer wheelbase when vince can lay some of that churches chicken over the tank

Actually Vegeburger and a little too much of it! They never rode an H-1 or H-2 Like I used to drag race where the front was NEVER on the ground
