nope, Jax Raceways was shut down last year. Closest places are Gainesville, Valdosta, and Orlando Speedworld.

Come to Gainesville - it's decent.

June 2nd at Moroso (West Palm) is a bike night event that is looking to be pretty big...

The Moroso Bike night is going to be the 1st Saturday night of the month for the summer starting the 2nd of June. Come on Down. I think its only going to be 1/8 mile. But if enough of us squawk they'll probably let us run the 1/4

gainesville raceways http://gainesvilleraceway.com/

south georgia motorsports park http://www.sgmpracing.com/

these are the closest 1/4 mile tracks around.

then you got orlando, moroso and bradenton down south that are popular.

nothing in the jax city limits or surrounding areas anymore however...jax raceways was 1/8th mile anyway.

Thanks, all. Things are not quite as bleak as before. I'm going on a scouting trip to Jacksonville soon.

I like 1/8 mile tracks. Saves wear and tear on the bike and the good 1/4 mile times come from the best 330' times anyway. Been spoiled here in Dallas. There are 4 1/8 mile tracks and 1 major 1/4 mile track within 45 minutes of my house. Theres a brand new one being built about 45 minutes away and 3 more 2-4 hours distant.

My wife is. Some times she wins, occasionally I do. Makes loseing a little easier knowing there are some drag strips not too far away.

yea...you also have a local twisty track (relatively)

jenningsgp.com

gville will be your best bet...they run two days a week (wed and sat usually) for anyone who wants to go.

sometimes its packed...sometimes you can run all night with no waiting.

luck of the draw.

quite a few bike racers out too...and you can find fun on the streets if thats your bag as well.

The new track is supposedly under construction in Crandall, just off 175. I understand the track is about 70% complete, but haven't been there to see.

I'll do that, Harry.

yea..sorry...gville short for gainesville.

its only about a 45min trip from jax.

usually quite a large jax contingent (bikes and cars) make the trek on test n tune nights.

Deans there most of the time too.

I havent talked to kevinC or Ryan in forever...assume they are up to their ears in work at the shop.
