nos wet kit jetting
Im installing a wet nos system on my 2006 zx14. Wondering what jet sizes( nos and fuel) for a 30 shot, 40 shot and 60?Also i had 2 route my lines up thru the hole in the frame\air box. the nozzles are just in the stacks. I have plastic nos\fuel lines. It has me worried about an explosion if the bike backfires . Wondering your guys thoughts on that also. . Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Talk to Buddy, he has all the goods on 30,40,60, and up. Plus some good intell on those evil plastic lines. I think he lost a motor because of them and now runs SS lines, but that was on a big 12 and now he runs a 14 with the juice.

When I had the NOS system put on my bike, the installer used plastic lines and in order to make them neat, bundled the lines together and broke each one out in line with it's intended fogger. This made for some pretty sharp bends in the tubeing. After a few runs, everything went south. I found that the high pressure from the NOS would blow a hole in the plastic lines if the bend was too sharp. Three of the lines had holes in them and all were pointing at intake #4. It sucked up all three of the others NOS as well as it's own(It was the only line that wasn't bent too sharp). Needless to say, the piston melted. It wasn't a total disaster, as the block was repaired by Millineum and another piston was ordered.
Maybe there are some better plastic lines, I don't know, but I replaced them all with brass lines and had no more problems along that line.
My thoughts as to what jets to use was to put .024 in the NOS and .028 fuel jets for about an 80 hp shot. If I didn't want to use all 80 hp, I would set the progressive box for the HP shot I wanted. You can also go to the Schnitz site in the technical part and it lists NOS and fuel jets and what HP you can expect.
I don't have NOS on the 14 yet.

If I were to guess, perhaps George Gooch's turbo busa or Jay Doeshal's Katana, looks like maybe Jay's bike..

Not too many folks I can lean on here for information...
Back on topic, please keep your thoughts on the wet kit in the public forum...I've been seriously considering a wet kit over dry.
thanks

I drive over 500 miles one way(I live in Nebraska) to race the PMRA.........But it is worth it to race with the group of guys that also race there.

I've used plastic lines for years with no real problems, but buddy is right nice smooth turns
is the key. I never thought about blowing holes in the lines, I did it for better flow and I didn't want to risk crimping a line. I never ran over 60hp jets.
