Y2KZX12R: Chowin' down w/Bikeland Legend

Jim & Jaime,
My #2 Son, my Alaska niece and I REALLY enjoyed slurping down beers and steamers with you and Jaime on Sat. Thanks for taking time outa yr nutso schedule to drive an hour and have lunch with us.

My niece, Tamara got some great ideas from Jaime and she is all enthused about going back to wrenching on her 6? VW's. Hearing about Jaime's career path was an inspiration to her.

For Bikeland folks I gotta tell ya, that after reading Y2K's posts for the last 7? years, it was a real pleasure to meet the Maestro in person. Also, his wife, a long time motor head and drag racer was a ball to yak with.

Stay tumed this summer when Jim cranks up his MOJO CNC porting equipment (delivery next week?). New business for him and a major opportunity for us to get personal attention of a true expert.

Karl, thanks again. Those king crab legs were awsome! Was a pleasure to finally meet ya. My wife was most impressed with your niece and her hands on love for autos and engines etc. You guys were all fun to chat with. Next time I'm buying Karl. And remind Tamara if she needs any advice etc. she can call Jaime any time.

Ryan, are you going to make MIR?

I wish I had more time to hit some of these events Bikeland and its members sponsors, and i'm going to make a point to get to some in the future.
I think my wife is as disapointed as I am about missing this event at MIR.

Freek, You would have gotten a good laugh at my bike drag racing skills. (none)

Karl, we got the rod machine moved and set up again now, so I'll get those Carillos back to you soon. Sorry for the delay, with the shop being all torn apart.

Good luck everyone...... and Karl is buying everyone a round on me at the crab place.
You guys better eat a lot of those crabs damn it!!!
