Dale Walker Shifter

I just got off the phone with Dale.....He had told me he could sell me a solenoid and bracket
for X dollars....But he was out of the solenoids, "call me in a few weeks dude".
well a fews weeks go by......NOW ....."Dude like I didnt say that...(chuckles)......I could
like knock off like 50.00 bucks of the NEW price of 539.00 If you dont want the kill box."

Needless the say .....I think Fuck the solenoid ....It was a matter of convieniance...
It isnt fucking rocket science...I can find a solenoid that will do the same thing but not the
dale "mark up" brand.

when you say something You should mean it. I didnt wait three weeks for
shifty bullshit story.....lesson learned.

I have a Dale Walker Power Shifter lll and it shifts like "hot butter". I had a problem with it one time after about a year and a half and for the life of me, and a few others, we couldn't figure it out. It turns out that my ground wire on my battery was loose causing the shifter to not get the power it needed to make a full shift. Easy fix once we found the problem. Dale was always available and eager to help me with advise. Eventhough I was losing faith, he remained confident that it had to be "somethin' simple". He was right. He's a good man with good intentions and a great product. I've had that shifter for 3 years now and if it ever does go bad, I'll get another.

Oh... By the way...his shifter took about 4 tenths off of my 1/4 mile. Very impressive!

I know Karl uses one.....That was the main reason I thought that I would give it a try.
I plan on using the Dynojet hub output to trigger it.,Although I'm not familiar with
Dj software for the hub , I'm guessing it will give a low amp signal at a user designated rpm at which it sends a signal to a relay I have(bosch 30A) .That will do all I want right now
...I have a configuration that I was going to use before I found the DW stuff.
I just have to start building my own .....

Sounds more like Texas has an issue with Dales attitude more than his product. Sounds to me like the guy isn't humble and don't appreciate his customers.

If thats true...the guy(dale) sucks. I personally don't like screwing around with parts that didn't come with the kit. It could very easily be someone else besides Texas12 waiting on parts from some giggling unappreciative ass-clown....even if it shaved a second of my 1/4 times, Dude.

I did get a voice mail from Dale this morning, and the "kits" will be available in a few days
I only wanted the solenoid .....and the first time I spoke with him HE quoted me a price.
Now I guess I'm out of touch with modern times,But If I tell you something I mean it.
I like the fact that my word is as good as any written contract
He would not honor his previous quoted price, and went so far as to inform me that
the "new " stuff will be marked up 40.00 bucks.....Thats fine I understand its just buisness.
What if someone is running his shifter and has a need for a replacement solenoid
I dont think I would be willing to pay 500.00 bucks for a kit....Minus the kill box
and try to sell the remaining brackets, clevis,etc....THAT was his suggested plan!!
Im glad that others have had good luck dealing with him, as for me .....well I will just dont
think his stuff is for me.....and if that is proffesional then Im certainly more than proud to be
an amature.....Michael
