I agree, I mounted a 180 thinking that it would have a larger contact patch and took it right back off. For some reason the 180 tire shape creates a more rounded profile on a 6 inch rim than the 190. None of the Super Street racers use a 180 Shinko. -Dean

At my 68 inch wb, it did real good, hooked hard enough I turned the tire on the rim about 4 inches each pass.........

with the new works shock, I was actually quicker down track, that i was last year, and was running an mcr last year..........

At my home track last night, I ran almost my quickest time, but with a 60 ft that was .07 slower..........he he.

still tuning on the multi stage.......

sorry, forgot to weigh it...........

are bead locks an option for stock rims to prevent spinning on the rim? that just doesnt sound like a good thing to me!(4 inches each pass?!?!) or is this "normal" ???

ok, my uncles drag vette has screws all the way around the rim (every few inches)to keep the slicks in place (33x17 IIRC) just wondering if something like that should/could be used?....

Dean, on ly little ZRX1100 I think it has a 5.0 inch rim and the 1200 has the 5.5 rim SInce stock is 170 I am guessing the best tire for me will still be the 180?

Vince you won't have to worry about tracktion untill you extend it. A good street tire will hook just fine with stock wheelbase.

I think if you can afford to run the MCR then that is the way to go it is lighter and will hook just as good but for the money you cant beat the shinko course I dont really have the traction problems you guys do since I weigh 285 pounds I hook pretty good... and I street race big difference between the street and a prepped track LOL
