Safety Rules at Strip

Thinking about taking my 12 to the track, but am somewhat confused about the rules.
Some tracks claim I need a full leather suit zippered in the middle, while others say a leather jacket is fine? Why
the difference, I don't know.
Of course all require the normal full face helmet, gloves,
boots, and possible kill switch.
Thanks In Advance

NHRA rules state leather pants are required for bikes going over 120mph. IHRA and other outlaw tracks aren't always too picky bout leather pants on any bike. Non-sanctioned tracks make their own rules so check before you go. My favorite killswitch is to drill a tiny hole in the rocker killswitch and thread a tiny eyelet into it with a Wally World dogclip and plastic springy cord attached to it. Perfectly legal everywhere and easy to remove when you're not racing.
