ZX 12 Wheel Bearings

What's the recommended mileage for replacing the wheel bearings? Are the stock bearings the best, or are there better choices?

Thanks,

Ceramics are nice if you do not mind the expense, or if you ever find yourself betwween gas stations in West Texas!

ceramics hold up as well or better than steel.

failures seem to stem from folks who run them while lubed improperly.

Get the street ones unless your bike really is drag only! I have only had mine in my bike for a couple of years so I do not know the true longevity.

Who sells ceramic bearings for the 12?

While I'm installing my new rotors, rear sprocket and chain, I may as well replace the bearings. Who sells ceramic bearings for the 12?

Thanks,
