Something with lots of places to hook a chain, maybe with magnesium sidecovers for a nice show, not too heavy to slow down the tow vehicle, oh wait a minute, you mean RACE? Forget it.

Right now the Busa has the maket on Available parts and R&D.
It's the small block chevy on motorcycles.
The best and fastest stock motor bike out now the zx14.
The best looking bike is the 00-01 zx12.

I ride a zx12 and a 14 myself. However the 14 is new, so still "almost" stock.
However I ran a 9'30 on my 12 with a few mods and a 30 shot!
The damn 14 has not to many parts available. Especially in comparison to the busa.

I have a 2000 ZX12R and I think it's the best drag bike ever. I'm very consistant on it and with just a few mods ( NO SPRAY ) I can run 9.28 @ 146mph. I only weigh 150 though!

Well there are a lot of parts out for the zx12 zx well so why wouldn't this be a prime suspect for a drag bike. Especially for the Kaw fans.

I didnt forget the R1!
No one in their right mind would drag one though. Unless of course they were sponsored and therefore had loads of cash.

what were you thinking?
Primarilly this is a Kawi website, I own one too!
Of course the results will indicate that!
The busa is cheapest to mod and development is advanced, and parts a becoming cheap!
Relatively Stock= zx14
I have hammered numerous other models readilly with my 14.
Its easy to launch, has low 1st gear, and is not wheelie prone like literbikes.
Only gripe is it weighs 100 lbs more than a literbike....
Beauty and comfort has a price I guess!
