Ah Dean it weighs as much as a ZX12 with some 20lb blocks of lead in the tail compartment...lol. When I get the fuel curve into an acceptable range (read NOT lean), Id love for you or Kevin to have a shot at trying it at Gainesville.
Of course I wont reveal that there is another 10lbs or boost left to put in the bike...lol

Crotch..only 10.20s??? Come on man, I rode this bike to an extremely high 9 before the intercooler!!...hehe

Brian...hehe I would challange you again, but anymore power and it'll turn into a smoke show...lol.
When the 17" is on the back and I can turn the boost up, I wanna run you *spraying*!! Should be a real good race!!

Jez, yeah its been know to smoke a tire or two...lol

Those poor busas at Sportsman wont know what hitem lol.

Man..you missed it on sunday...cops broke it up just as I rolled in. That all black bus with the green logo absolutely grenaded his clutch basket...and did it while driving less than 10mph.

Shattered the basket, even blew a hole the size of a grapefruit in the clutch cover.

Id never seen that before...mistook it for a 12R clutch for a moment

I'd love to give it a go at Gainesville, if I can get Kevin off of it I hear it spools up FAST. When do you plan on swapping the chassis with that badass roller I saw in John's garage?

Sorry I didnt make it out Sunday....I was, well detained...lol! Im sure Greg wasnt too happy about his bike going down...hehe. I would almost feel bad for him if he didnt have that other Busa to ride!
What kinda 5-oh showed up? Sheriffs? I guess they'll have the 'copter partroling from now on!

Dean, the roller is gonna get swapped soon (cross my fingers) . Im dying to get the thing going! The swap is going to net a 65lb weight savings!! Plus an added 3" of tire out back. The addition of two extra brake pistons is always nice too as well as some 28mm axles!! And finally some decent 46 mm forks, not the 34 spaghettis it has now!
Toby was trying to convince me to rake it...very persistantly! I almost had to be rude to him...hehe. I promised the roller will be returned to him for a backhalved chassis and a rake job..soon.

It was JSO that rode through this time instead of FHP. He didnt really do much..just kinda stopped at the sideroad and said "yall need to get up outta here" then parked down at the end of the road for about an hour.

Everyone pretty much took off at that point.

Oh, ok then ...9.8 @ 143

Just finished rebuilding my stocker yesterday. Taking it to Santa Pod Raceway for some runs tomorrow. I'll be happy with anything under 11.5!

Sorry Steve!!! I thought 10.20s because it's not to easy getting a turbo down the 1/4... Thinking about that 750 turbo with motor work and bigger turbo it would do alot of tire spinning... 9.80 is a great time for that bike as you see it, or was it slammed?

Well, I didn't get my 11.5. Managed 11.8 into a strong headwind with a slipping clutch, so that was ok. Wondered why the thing wouldn't stop though....then saw fork oil pissing out of the seals onto the discs!
Hey, I got oil-cooled discs

...and DAMN, this bike is so heavy! I rode the ZX12 afterwards, felt like a 600!

A buddie of mines back a few years ago went a 10.80 but he is a featherweight at 120 or so. I think it was bone stock except for the gearing.

Even though I'm a "newbie" here(wife and I set up the Mike(Horsepower Unlimited)Chestnut fund),my "lead sled" Purple Passion '84 Kaw turbo(536lbs wet) did a slithering e.t. of 10.00 with a skinny 5.5 inch slick on the stock 3 inch rim.It's putting out between 185-190 h.p. at the rear wheel.If he can keep the front end down,and no wheel spin,I'd say at least 10.00-9.70s.

Your bike going 10.0s is with you on it! Thats pretty good! Obviously you know you can go faster, but you probably dont go out to the strip much.
Hehe, Lorcan it must feel like you are walking when running those 11.0s...lol Thats a far cry from the 8.60s...hehe
I like the old iron most because it hurts alot of Busa owners feelings!!

Hehe....it's just as difficult to get the best out of it though. The worst part is the speed 113 vs 162mph....almost 50mph difference! Still fun though, whatever it is you can't beat boost!
