aa why dont you buy some good fuel instead of risking more damage to your engine.I don't know which is good for your combo but i'm sure someone here can point you in the right direction.Ask Entropy or Osti.

I was told to use higher octane, even on the street.Instead of trying to find or use race gas, this was an alternative.Once at the track the good stuff goes in.I don't even know how much c-16 cost..
zrxdean, after reading their web page, the active ingrediant was lead.I was told that if running unleaded fuel to not mix leaded additives as it effects their makeup.Have you used it?

You can run lead in unleaded fuel. Race gas is pretty much good gas with lead in it. Dennis Motorhead recommended this stuff to me, he puts a quart in his tailsection and mixes it with pump when he's on a long ride. It believe it works, I've run 30# of boost and 360 deg charge temps and never melted anything, mixing with 114 race gas. Be careful with it of course, lead is nasty stuff. Can't you get race gas somewhere?

I can get blue flame or c12 within 15 miles of me,each one in a different direction. But what happens when they're not open.Even if I was to buy a 5 gal can of race gas and store it home,I'm still limited to how far I can ride.Granted, rarely would there be a problem, but just to know what options are out there.I heard race gas will evaporate rapidly and seeing how much I rode this year.

Are you spraying huge every time you ride the bike? If you are just riding, or even spraying 40-50 hp, 93 pump is fine. Are you running super high compression or something?

Dean,I'm not spraying on the street. The pistons were 13/1 but I don't know the actual compression. This was the second time for detonation.I have to admit being confused about why others have no problem on the street but it was recommended to me and due to my lack of knowledge,I try to listen.

your injectors probably contributed to your detonation problems.
Did they give you before and after numbers?
If you are seriously worried about detonation, you can pull a couple degrees of timing .
This may cost you a few hp but 93 should be very safe.

Are you running the Muzzy Fuel Pump? If not, I would recommend it with your set up.

Shouldn't those injectors be running a touch more, at least 110-115 cc/min.

Mine were around 118-120 and others who posted on a different thread a while back had significantly higher numbers.

c-16, you dont need that...Unless your using nitrous!!!...With the problems your having you should not even think about nitrous yet...

I guess you want to end up like VH

use u4- 92 octane, u4e- 93 octane, u2e- 98 octane, mrxo1- 98 octane...

I agree about having a higher flow.I think mine was measured at 43psi.I believe entropy said the stock were around 310,so I don't know where the discrepancy is.I don't know if the #'s matter as much as uniformity.By the way,yes I have Muzzy's pump.
CR,the c-16 would be for the strip only and 40 shot.

In my power plant days,we called them go/no go gauges. When I asked if the ultrasound cleaner at work would do the same job,I was told they use a secret formula, which he cannot tell me,and anything else would do more harm then good.hmmmmmmm!

The different flow rates are scaleable to any test pressure. The zx12r fuel system is set up to run at 3 bar or 44.1 psi. GM runs thier fuel systems at 4 bar or 58.8 psi. 1 bar = 1 atmosphere or 14.7 psi.
Thats why the zx12r fuel rail pressure shouldnt go below 42 psi. Ideal is 44.1 In this aplication its not that important but when you get into boosted applications you need to calculate flow losses from the added manifold pressure and calcula..... well anyway ask for flow numbers at 3 bar when you have the injectors tested and flowed. Or you can do the math.
