Sounds like you need to go over to the dark side and pick up a Busa, but it'll feel like driving a Mac truck after that 10. No doubt the Busa has all the after market and used parts you could imagine. Drop in a piston kit (1397) for around a grand and have close to 200HP.

Just put a turbo on that 10, it'll get ya moving around town pretty well. I currently have a 12 that is getting a little bore and stroke on it. I like my twelve a lot, but it is kind of heavy and I have gone through a couple clutches. I also have the muzzy stealth kit that helps to pull my 250lbs around also. My brother has a Busa and my wife use to have a CBR 929. I like the Busa as much as my twelve, but you can find anything for the Busa where the twelve is a little harder to find stuff or they just don't make it and will not since the 14 is around. The 929 was fun but it needed a turbo to realy get it kicking!

I don't understand when you say you want a bike for the street, yet want something that will go high 8's low 9's.By refering that the 10 is a track only bike, why does the 12 which you are probably predetermined to buy have to be that quick? Is the 10 for roadracing and them 12 going to be for the strip? If so,wrong move. Why not instead get another 10 with a 100hp wet shot and then you'll be able to pool spare parts more efficiently?

Keep the 10 - I'm 6'2" and (was) 240 w/o gear - by far the most capable/functional bike outta the box I've ever owned (mines an 04). 22k mi and 0 problems. Mods are a s/o and air filter - good for 156 at the rear. Way more comfy than a Bus or 12R.
End of story.
