help!! got junk cases laying around???
I URGENTLY need 3 of the solid ss dowels which pin the races of the roller bearings on the 2 trans shafts to the upper case.
The dowels are 6mm X 16mm and are located in the U case at the bottom of small bearing mount. Just lightly grab em with some pliers and they come out easily.
I need 3 immediately (1 for Buddy, 2 for me) so we can start assembing both motors this week.
can anyone help me out???

Karl, your local dealer should be able to have em in a day or two..........
A good machine shop can machine those out quickly too..........
Did you trash a motor too?

MM,
I was just about to call you! Please do send 3 of em out with the bolt; overnight would be great.
Popeye's, seafood & beers are on me when you come down in Oct!!!
I am getting up at 1am every night to work on these motors, cause my garage temp is 105-110F during the day.
NOX;
Buddy trashed his motor and somehow i lost one of his dowels when we pulled the motor down????; go figure.
I didn't trash a motor, but I'm building a spare from the ground up; grabbing parts from every place (thx MM!). This is a "Senior Science Fair Project" so I'm not in a huge rush, doing everthing just sooooo with some most excellent advice on every step of the way.

Karl,
You didn't lose one of the dowels. I found it still in the case. Also, the two from my old 1427 cases were still in it. I have the 3 if you still need them, or, if MM needs them returned, we're in good shape.

Just curious does Buddy run the Fattys (H-beams) or the svelte ones Carrillo makes?
Also curious if ya had the inside scoop on the Speed King with regards to him making
an appearance at the Mile and whose bike he'll be scooting down on?
Can't wait to see a bunch of 12s flying at the mile. It'll be perfect timing for Buddy, he'll
be able to break his motor in nicely at the Houston ShootOut drags and smoke us at the Mile with that Nos swilling beast. We'll have to line up all those 12s and snap a pic to send to Mr. Hill.

Only the best Carrillos-the H beams. Doing everything I can to make a motor last. They cost more, so I'm hoping thats an indication of quality. So far, they have lived up to their reputation. I wish there was something similar to a billet wrist pin retainer. I may weld these suckers in on this motor.

Nothing but the BEST for my buddy, Buddy!!
Gary or Buddy or other kind hearted folk,
Matt (Wideout) is gonna run his ZX12 (stock w/40 dry shot) at the mile in Oct and is looking around to borrow a steering damper. Any leads??
hmmm...
Can i get away with hijacking my own thread, or am i gonna have to ban myself???

Now there is an interesting thought a little micro-tack weld to keep that cir-clip from spinning, but what might be some of the ramifications?
No leads yet on a stabilizer, have been keeping an eye out for Buddy, but have not come across any used ones yet.................. cause they ain't too cheap to buy new!
Yep, I saw WideOut was going to be making it. He should do very well as I believe he
said he was in the mid 150 lb range. He should be real close to 200mph. I do not know
if he saw but in the sale section there is a used stealth kit for sale.

I do not think you could tack weld the clip.... it is a steel and the pistons were aluminum...
MM
why has no one made the teflon buttons like I have heard about the old KZ1000's????

we don't need to worry about the circlips coming out anymore, nope.
Yesterday I bought 4 kits of JB weld and packed each wrist pin/circlip hole full; hard as a damn rock today. Problem solved!
Those bastids aren't going anywhere this time!!!
(btw: i didn't really do this... )
Mike,
got the bolt and dowels, thanks man!!!
BTW: you wouldn't happen to have 2 cam cover bolts would you?? (Buddy has 5 but I think it takes 7)
