Brocks Exhaust vs Akro for zx12
Even though my Dyno guy swears nothing makes more power than an Akro on a ZX-12r, from what I've been reading, I'm starting to believe that either the Street Megaphone System or the Generation 3 StreetSmart Exhaust might better the 212 rwhp my 1361 makes w/a full akro system. My akro is nearly 6 years old now, and I am looking to upgrade. However, I've emailed brock 3x's over the last year, using his dyno chart request procedure asking for dyno charts of his system against an akro, and never received even a reply. My only conclusion is that his exhausts don't make more power then an akro. What would you think?

Megabyte,
Unfortunately, I don't get ALL of my e-mails. I have a spam filter that grabs a LOT of them unless I've already conversed with you previously/have you in my list of e-mails sent. If you can't get me via computer, give me a call. With exception to the last 3 weeks, I'm usually in the office (will still be out this coming week, but in after that.) If I'm not there, leave a message letting me know who you are and whwat you want. I try to return ALL calls (so long as I know what they are about.)
As far a dyno sheet comparisons, I don't have any dyno pulls with the Akro on the 12, and therefore, don't have any sort of comparison for that particular set-up. I do have dyno sheets on my site that show my exhaust gains over stock, but that's about it. Sorry I don't have any more info than that for you.

Megabte,
you gotta take everything I say about Brock with a "grain of salt" because as far as I am concerned he and his products "walk on water". Best service and direct access on hi-performance issues anywhere. Who else tells all / posts all on hi-po stuff?
i didn't do any back to back tests on gen3 vs Akro, and i am always changing stuff, my motor turning out 215-225 std depending on setup/fuel/ air
I do remember being very pleased with the gen3 wrt to the Akro, so i guess it made a bit more hp and every bit counts!!!

Thanks Brock and Entropy for your replies to my obnoxious post . I tried to edit it later, but it was too late. I just thought it came across wrong. I know Brock has a terrific reputation, and I felt bad about suggesting he was ignoring me. We run spam filters @ work too, and I know we lose emails that way also; I'm the SA . I know nothing is ever =, but I have a friend who put a step system on his same everything bike as mine when it was stock, and was disappointed. My ? is how much better is the gen 3 system, and would the gen3 system or the Street Megaphone System make more power on my big bore (1361). I like the looks of the Street Megaphone System, but finding it hard to layout a grand in hopes it will make me happy. Other friends who I also respect, tell me not to change anything. Entrophy, I read an older post of yours on another board where you commented on making more hp when you replaced your akro w/a brock's system. Another well respected board member also reported making more when he replaced his akro w/a gen3. I know both you guys are telling the truth, and I really respect your knowledge and experience. Anyway, this is what's got me going on this....I think I'm asking a ? that no one can really answer for me. Right now, I'm leaning towards probably, if you know what I mean
Thanks Again!

Mega,
I didn't think you came across as obnoxious or even the lil-ist bit pissy. You are just asking a reasonable question, eh?
I am guessing that with a streetable 1361 a gen3 might not show as big an increase over the Akro as would a track only mojo CR 1361 1375, etc. No idea about the street megaphone, no experience.
Still worth it in my book (as MM points out), just to get access to Brock's cell #

stock zx14's are seeing between 2-5 hp more through out the ENTIRE rpm range over the Gen 3 system!
And nuthin sounds better!
LOL.. idled into the car wash to blast pesky bugs off front of the 14 yesterday, and I could hear someone YELLING how loud it is in there, then I gave it a good 10, 000 rpm blast in there LMFAO
Hows that loud enough for ya! LOL
The dude across from me just about jumped out of his skin. LOL
The car wash kids were staring and laughing!
Brock service is 1st CLASS !
Can't go wrong there!

I have the brock 4-2-1 on one of my 12's and i really liked it in the mountains of tenn/n. carolina. I have a akro on one of my other 12's and a muzzy previously. I prefer the brock pipe. It feels like it has more midrange torque.I don't have dyno chart for the brock system.

We have installed several Brock systems and HIGHLY recomend them...
MY only complaint is that...I was very disapointed with how LOW the ZX12 Sidewinder is that I put on John's bike

Yep. The Muzzy sidewinder has quite a bit more ground clearance.

i haven't seen either brock or muzzy SW for the 14; but in any case i would't attempt running a sw on the street; unless you ONLY need to make left turns.

I hope to try a Brocks someday, to compare against the AK I had. I can't imagine a better pipe than the AK, but it would be awesome if it was better.

My thoughts (and hopes) exactly. However, at this point I'm reluctant to lay out a grand + just to find out
