Drag strip newbie

I have this 1996 CBR 600 (637cc over bore and 13-1 comp.) track bike and since there is no safe road course in the Vancouver B.C. area I thought I would take it to the drag strip. I am just wondering if there are any temporary "tricks" you can do to a mostly stock road race bike in order to have fun. Nothing serious. Like fill the tank up, lower the front end...
(It has a CBR 900 RR front end, and a height adjustable fox shock.)

Front strap is a must !!!

If you want, get a hold of rear lowering links or lower the shock as much as possible...

Are you riding it to the strip???

42lbs. in front tire, no more than 36lbs. rear...

What gearing do you have and what's stock???

It's got stock gearing @ 15-43.
Front strap??? Meaning - compress the front end? How about a tie down with duct tape to hold it on?
Not riding it to the track.
How about fuel load???

go down one or two in the front, use a real strap, if you want to, but personally, I think straps are dangerous

Thanks guys. I think I'll just go try it as is first to get a base line.
Set the tire pressure, half tank o gas and go!

I was thinking low rear tire pressure-like 28 or 30 psi??? No?
