My prediction in the future of Novice DragRacing!!!

With the release of the new ZX14 and then when the new Busa hits the strip next year, I predict Bracket Racing to blow up and get Big Name Sponsors!!!

Think about it, the ZX14, Busa, ZX10 and Gixxer 1000s with a stock motor, Pipe, gearing, 62 inch wheelbase, tuned and running mr9 fuel will go 8.90s!!!

That will open the doors to some kind of Points Series stock bike class if the rules can get ironed out...With the price of gas nowadays and the cost of maintaining a Big Motor or Turbo Bike, it wont be long that the majority of the guys and girls DragRacing will be on stock bikes running 8.90s in the 1/4 mile!!!

Same as always, no one likes to watch bracket racing..........., you have to put people in the seats, and bracket racing dont do it...............

I think no.............

Wish it would happen, but no.

BTW, did i read right that streetbikes running Pro ET in prostar have to be 3inches now? and in street et? WTF? Hell, even NHRA doesnt require that, they allow 2 inches still........

yea, I can see plenty of streetbikes racing!! but I dont see big named sponsors sponsoring local drag racers bracket racing. Maybe if they are running a national ET bracket. but not local...
I would love to see it, and I will be on the list for it!!! for sure!

I think it would be great if the manufacturers stepped up and sposored a class like Rick mentioned.Stock motors, just pipes,PC3r's and approved fuel,no SS mods allowed,no weight added with a wheelbase cap say at 60 or 62 and let the little dogs race.If Kaw and the other guys put up contingency it could be interesting.Once the factories put up some money maybe others would follow...Muzzy,Brocks,Orient,VP maybe???

it would be cool, but very hard to tech.... a true class of classes, would be to have all the bikes preppred and all you could do is change suspension settings... kind of like a true pro-stock street class.

I still do not think any of the big dogs are going to throw a bunch of money at any class like this... again I would love it to happen!!! but I sure am not going to bet on it...

Your prediction is flawed in the fact that It doesn't matter how fast shit is for bracket racing, bracket racing is bracket racing, regardless of ET. 8s, 9s, 10s, doesn't matter, if it were going to blow up it would have done so already.

Sorry, you're stuck with Street ET. Boring.

In order to cap spending you must limit HP or ET.
I believe if they set a 8.90 - 9.00 index no electronic, hand clutch, street tire and 62" wheebase it will be a riders class. when you allow unlimited HPor ET, you invite unlimited
funding and the little guy gets out spent.
OR to keep things in check put a set amount where the bike can be Purchased by any
competor. 10k-15K either sell the bike or you are DQ'd for life.

The only thing that HP gives you in a bracket race is the change in air does not affect et as much, so it is easier to dial in, after that, you all gotta cut a light. Keep line locks, delay boxes out, and most of the guys kicking ass in Pro Et in prostar would be on the trailer a whole lot more.

I would love to see it. down here, we have about 15 to 18 that show on points days, 3 days a month, and half of us dial 7s in the 1000 ft, most deep in the 7s. on streetbikes. the crowd likes it, at least those who understand it and actually show up.

Hey Mike, are you running any prostar races this year, I was going to run pro et in memphis, and maybe street et just for the big trophy, but I aint going to 3 inches for one race............,
