They've been there for 3 years at least.
I typed in "ZX-12 Cam chain tensioner" in our search and it popped right up.

Before you do anything on a 12, email Karl, if it can be broken, or blown up, he has done it...........

nope, not true!
My left headlight bulb is origional and STILL WORKING!
THAT is because the LEFT bulb CAN'T be broken!!!
JEEEEEEZZZ...I thought EVERYONE knew that?!?!?!
APE should have them???
We order them from Schnitz usually...
We use manuals all the time and haven't had ANYTHING fail because of them...
Although rare...it IS posible for the stocker to back out...
I've seen several bad ones come out of GXRs...you can see where the teeth wore or got damaged when it sliped...
It's hard for me to explain how I adjust them because I do it by "feel"...
I turn the motor back-and-forth slightly and feel how much the guides give/flex/squish when changing crank rotation from forward to backwards...
It's also hard to explain because the stiffer the valve springs are the more I adjust the tensioner so the crank won't turn too far (backwards) before the cams move...
We installed VERY strong V-springs at one point while RD-ing Ryan's Bbusa head and after "folowing the instructions" on how to adjust the tensioner Ryan asked me what I thought...
It was obvious (to me) that the tensioner was too loose because the crank moved too much before the cams even thought about moving...
