Ping Entropy! Need Help!!!!!!

Howdy, Hope your not in Bancok or Downunder hanging out with Pierre.
I needed to see about getting my starter gear shaved up a bit and was going
to see if your friend could do it. The Crank should be here on Friday and I could
shoot the stuff out ASAP or pop down to MO City. If you talk to him let me know a ball park figure on how long and how much. Most of my stuff is at JC's. We would mock it up and send it out. Same area code as JC's Home: 916-9764 Work: 457-1292. Guess Marine Crank pulled through for me.

Thanks a bunch,

Gary

Gary,
I will call Al Luna (tool maker/machinist) today and see what his schedule is like.

He has turned stuff around real fast, and the cost is??? $150??? don't really remember.

Best way is to take a day off work and bring it down to him.

You will need the block bolted to the upper case, all the starter parts (except the starter), one rod & bearings, one piston (no rings), crank & bearings.

Be good to have the cases clearanced for the rods before doing this.

Thanks, I will probably take a day off like you said. $150.00 or a little more is still cheap, might have to buy him some lunch. I 'll try to get a hold of JC so we can get that set up. The crank is actually scheduled to arrive today, but sometimes the UPS guys miss me or just packs my stuff behind everyone elses. I have sent a few (stock for clean up and balance, 5mm that George might want and an 8 1/2mm I'll be useing) Busa cranks to MC and they have done a very nice job for a very good price.

Thanks Mad Mike they said it was a beauty.

Thanks Entropy just shoot me a PM or call.

Got them cases, crank, rod, block, and piston ready to go. It was the first time I looked
at the crank, it's a beauty. You can hardly tell it has been welded on. I'll call ya around
noon, every thing is good to go. Guess I'll be hanging out with them Katy Crawlers in
the morning. Thanks Entropy.

Is his place right off of Chimney Rock? I think there use to be a DPS or Tax office around by there, but I have not lived there in about 10 years and my memory is fading in my old age.

Thank You much Entropy, Mr. Luna did a top notch job on that starter gear and charged almost nothing. I had to give him a tip to match the amount I thought it was going to be though. That might get him a few lunches.

I see you and the crew down at HRP. It would be perfect if the weather held out
like today, 75F and clear. I should be getting trans on Monday, TB's on Wed., and
head next Friday. Still a lot to do on cases and various other things before the build
can start.

I like the time ya posted at JC, 4:08AM. Were ya just getting up or just getting in?
Let me know when a good time would be to drop cases off and drop bros bike
of for check up. Or give me a call if you drive by the office at a decent time and I'll
just keep the cases in my car if you want to pick them up and look at that electric
shifter.

PS: 10 day delay on trans.
