Yeah,I watched that run,Ken's 12 looked short(only a 3 inch arm),but damn, when I saw the 8.9,I was really stunned, good run dude!Carl, your pretty close, back in the 9.1's,all and all,it was a pretty cool turn out,I was also impressed with the little guy on the stock motor 12 going 9.1's consistantly on a his dial-no spray(only 148mph).And guys,I think next time I jump on a stock busa at the strip,I better give IT or ME a little more credit, even if I'm rusty, but it sure was fun busting that stretched ones ass(even if I broke out a little)I don't think I'm mature enough for the street ET class!Good seeing y'all again, and by the way, change it from team fat ass to team FAST ASS-you and your bikes are moovin Chop-aleg too-9.2's or better I think!

Dude, cut it out. I got lucky on one pass. Finally let some air out of the rear tire and found traction. The guy on the quick 12 was the one that clued me in on the low psi. Had a great time, as usual. Red lights suck, though. Maybe next time I can back up the 8.91.

Went 159 on one pass! Never mind the tailwind and the sub-sea level conditions. LOL

Very Very nice Ken! Excellent to hear you cracked an 8 sec. run! Must've been really cool to see, much less the feelings you must've had!

Good job Ken, that didn't take long. 128 in the 1/8th is smokin', not to mention 159... imagine if you had a dry shot Foot shifting with the cutout box, right? YOU are the man.
We had good conditions at the first SEMDRA this weekend too, although it got slick after dark. Kevin & I both went out in the 3rd round, I had a bad light & he broke out. The ZRX ran pretty well, 6.15, 6.16 @ 118. SEMDRA was a blast- well organized, cool people, good facility (Southern Dragway), & 240 bikes. I'll be at the next one for sure.

240 bikes! Sounds like fun indeed. Highlands Kawasaki brought their ZRX1200 turbo bike freshly built by Mr. Turbo. Ran 171mph one pass. Think it's got lot more left in the tank once the rider gets used to it. I too was a third round loser. So I'm guessing you got the cam in? Did it help any? 6 teens is cookin. What kinda 60's you averaging now? How much tire pressure you normally run? Yep, Walker cutout box. Works like magic.

The ZX cams are still in it, but I did have a tank-o-Nutec. My 60 foots suck, mid/high 1.50s on good passes. I need more practice - I'm not smooth enough, and maybe some more lockup tweaking. On a good track I keep 16-18lbs in the tire, but went down to 12 on Saturday. I would rather sacrifice mph as insurance against spinning though.
171 is pretty incredible. Are they gonna take it outside Texas? I gotta get moving on the nitrous install... How does an 8 sec run feel? I'm guessing good

I wanna say someone said something about ProStar with the ZRX. Not too sure though. The ass end of it looked awfully high to be very stable, especially without being raked.
Man, it felt great. Finally got the monkey off my back, so to speak. Went to my local track the night before and couldn't do better than a 9.30 cause it was so slick and cold. Very disappointing. Had 27lbs of air in the tire though. I was really starting to dislike that tire for a while.

SUPER COOOL!!!
Way to go Ken...I KNEW you would do it!
KILLER MPHs!!! 1/8 & 1/4
I start at 25psi but...go all the way down to 10 PSI when necessary...
I don't think YOU (1361) can ever? go as high as 25 unless your at a track with SUPER good traction...
I ran A 5.98 at Southern Dragway and some 6.0s...VERY nice track! although it DOES go UP-hill a bit at the end LOL...
Good to see I'm not the only one on a STOCK motor going LOW 9s anymore also
BA? YOUR NEXT!!!

Thanks, guys. Secret? Money and practice mostly, Big J. I'm definitely no expert by far. Saw a guy run a 9.34 at 147 on a stock length, lowered Gixx1k. He was talented. Keeping the bike's CG as low as possible and restricting fork upward travel go a long way towards better ets.

It's an ignition interruption device that lets you shift at wide open throttle without using the clutch. A switch tied to the shift linkage triggers it. Very nearly as good as an air shifter without the complexity and much stealthier. MPS also makes one. You can find more info on Dale Walker's box at Holeshot.com.

Ken,that was Marvin on the gixx 1000,he's good, and the bike is VERY low too.Another Red Head,I accidently went 9.81 on a 10.0 dial, couldn't hit the brakes before I thought about it,so don't let your mouth go quicker then your ass will, this busa had a stock clutch and gearing,no mods just a pipe, first time on it too,Kcadby, yeah, that guy was going 9.1's consistantly, looked to me that there were more fast 12's then ever before-except Highlands Kawasaki did not run ANY of their fast 12's(all blown up I guess),they did have some fast zx9's,one going low 9's,other's all mid 9's,the two turbo bikes were well into the 8's,but no low 8's this time.

Of course on a rare occasion, a bike with a clutch that was already gone(as you neglect to leave that fact out)and my mis-hap on the line(rider error)and yes I do admit to losing that once, but I seem to remember a yellow 750 taking you to school down luna rd(me).,and Stacey on the f4-I 600 smoking you that same night, should I leave out the fact you were riding your zx-12 both of those times you got drugg??How about AA on the stock busa having you praying for devine intervention?Or how about those blazingly quick 7.20's you neglected to mention you turned at Kennedale 8th mile on your girls slammed 750??Should I continue??By the way,JP says he will run you in his TT-C5,they said you were looking to run them on your stock,un-piped zx-12(as it is in that condition now),just better hope you left the juice on,that car kicked RonC's busas ass.

INTRA, ummmm you have never raced me on the 750 so dont start talking out your fucking ass. You and I have raced one time, and that was it, and I whooped your ass. If you want to go again, let me know. And you know the whole story with Nick too....so dont be bullshittin. I heard about you talking about this 9.8 you rode on a busa and how you couldnt sit still.....
And John Paige wasnt there when we came out there....I was out there on Buddys akro d 12 with all the goodies....that bike will leave RonCs like it is sitting still.....and it will be a good race vs. JP. WHen ever he wants some you let me know...call me at the house later and we can set something up....972 709 4582
