Gainesville TNT pre-Prostar
Should be some out-of-town bikes here tonite getting ready for Prostar this weekend. Anyone coming?
I think I'm gonna enter in Super Street, though Todd Schnitz is gonna drag me down the track on Chris' turbo Busa. Tonite I'm gonna try to run at 3" ground clearance and no fork strap. Should be a catwalking good time.

I rolled up to the staging up lanes for my first pass, and who is waiting for me? A LOW blue Busa with some cat named Barry on it. Looked fast, but hey, it ain't a Kawasaki 
He took off so hard and fast it pulled my faceshield open. He was 3 TENTHS away by the 60 FOOT - 4 tenths by the 330, 7 by the 1/8th, and a second away at the traps with a 7.72 @ 185. I went a paltry 8.78 @ 169, just trying to keep from being drawn into the VORTEX. Truly amazing. Later he said he was spinning on the big end.
A later pass I lined up with Richard Gadson, Rickey's nephew, on his 1000 Supersport GSXR. Rickey was also making passes on his 1000. Richard is a cool kid, very friendly and sharp. He went 9.22 @ 154 with a 1.58 short time, I was glad to get there first, and needed all the boost I could manage to do it. Someone should put Richard on a Prostreet bike.
It was weird to ride the ZRX with no strap and 3" ground clearance, best I could swing was an 8.73, with 2 passes thrown away with huge wheelies. I'm gonna stiffen up the fork a bit to keep it from wallowing so badly and try again Saturday.
I'll be looking for you guys - and check out Kevin on a turbo Harley funnybike this weekend - they're testing today.

Sounds awesome. Wish i could have went. Are you running the race or doing T&T Sat night?
Did Keith make it out on the N2O Busa?
Those 1000SS bikes fly with those riders on them!

No Keith last night. I'm gonna run in Super Street, the exhibition class, but will get drug. But running the ET classes at Prostar is like paying someone to kick your ass.
Kevin went mid 7s today with 60% leakdown on the front cylinder. They should fix it tonite I hope.

Will be there Sunday, I called and they said no bikes except racers inside the gates. No fricking way I'm leaving my bike in the parking lot. I always could in the past pay the entrance fee than drive in.
SMTW turbo harley build ? mid 7's...wow them fast moving big ole pistons a thumping!

Rick - there were at least 200 bikes outside the gates and none got messed with.
I am not sure if KC was riding the turbo HD today but it went 7.86 @168...
I'll be there tomorrow as well with the woman and kids...
Met lots of .org people so far...

Prostar sux cock! It's fucked you can't ride your bike in anymore. At the awards at the track it was the "suck scooters cock show" Nopi will put prostar out of buisness.
It was good seeing some of my friends today. That's the main reason I went. It was kevin riding the turbo boat anchor. I saw him run 7 something when i first got there. I talked to dean and kevin as i was leaving.

They have been shutting down at dark or just before. Turnout was low Fri for sure. Still some good racing and some local guys going 3 rounds in the ET classes...
