Gold and purple Bear stacks?
Is there any difference in length between the gold and the purple? We've got purple because that was all that was available at the time, but now they all seem to be gold.

Wrong! The Only difference is the Purple are only sold by me and are in Long and short as is the Gold. You must physically measure them if you do not have them in front of you because the Visual difference between Long & Short is HUGE.

Well our purple ones came direct from Bear in South Africa. There also seem to be various others floating around.....

If you would, which are the shortest of those stacks (the silver one)? And is the gold also Bear? Thanks!
I am wondering why the silver one doesn't appear radiused or much radiused though...

Length?? Or Diameter? Because every Bear stack I have ever seen was either 5 mm Shorter (Original) ALL Bear stacks up to October 2002 were Gold and SHort. I asked him to make a special run of the Original in October 2002 and SOld the first sets to Voz and his friend. I think I also sold a set to ZXLNTand 1 other person.
It was also in October but 2003 he introduced the first set of Long stacks. I had 10 sets of Purple and 10 sets of Gold.
October 2004 he introduced the Mixed Sets and that is where we are now.
He can make them is any color but chose Gold.

The bare ally one on the right is experimental and made by John Warrington Motorcycles. The gold one is believed to be Bear. We don't know where the long purple one came from. It's not the same as the purple Bear ones in our bike.

OK..I know I'm going get smashed for this because It's probably been hashed out before but, ...the mixed set, are they supposed to give you the both of both words? The tall giving bit more midrange grunt and the shorts a little more up top? Has anyone verified this at the track? (MPH) also, what's the price on these stacks.

They are the best compromise. OldKawboy and a few others did a little testing. The Mixed work better for Street and strip than the Long but make a little less peak power that the SHort. They are also very small Bang for the Buck and one of the last things to do to make power!
