Very interesting article on balancing (ultra high end)
I'm afraid the cost may be completely practical for F1 and Nascar where it's being used, but way beyond what I could afford... I will check it out though as what this guy is saying seems completely valid. From Racecar Engineering, kind of picking the article up in the middle but only just after where it starts to get to the point:
