It was before the rules changed. Now you have to have 3" of clearance (used to be 2") and NO BALLAST. Ryan went 8.80 I think with the old rules.

previous record was 8.85 at 2" ground clearance and a lot of ballast
ridng these bikes at 3"(people at local races don't even have em this high) and no ballast is not so easy

I would like to see both the 60" and 68" class start using the 1000 class rules.

Just in case you guys didnt know the majority of the ZX12s out there are at 3 inch ground clearance when slammed at 60"...
Excellent Chip...Im sure you have a little more in you!!!
The ZX10 sand Gix1000s are sure embarassing the 12s and Busas!!!

I'm talkin about all 4 bikes set up the same way...stock wheelbase or 60"

Well they make 185rwhp on 1000's so i'm willing to bet under Prostar rules you could make 200rwhp on a 1200 or 1300 and run identical numbers...

No 1397 make 250rwhp N/A, which is what it would take for a Busa to run 162mph traps. Definitely on the spray.

Yep the 1397 was sprayed...
Thanks everyone. Particulars when we made that pass were-1397 motor with ported head and stock cams (degreed), stock clutch (personal preference), 40 shot (dry), and bike was right at 63".

1/8 5.47
MPH 135
Not a bad 1/8th mile pass......DAMN!!!

bergie I see all motor busas go 165 plus alot i know they do it plus more up north. Mike slowe has been 8.49 @ 167 on the motor, a nitrous motor to boot!
