Maximum lowering
I am starting this thread to keep the oil pan thread on point.
YCIS, without your intake you would get more room. Some feel here that the snorkel does infact help performance however.
Turboblew, would you explain how your fork mods helps you lower the bike any lower in the front considering the oem intake is still in place?

YCIS is going with a Turbo, therefore he won't need the snorkel, and can lower the bike even further because of the clearance issue that currently exists between the front fender and the ram-air intake snorkle.
Personally I think that once you drop the bike the initial few inches using standard lowering links, a strap and lowering the clamps a little on the forks, once you do that there is very very little actual "performance" to be gained from going any lower.
Removing the snorkle on a non-turbo bike just doesn't make sense unless you like the appearance. I seriously doubt any tangible difference could be measured from that last inch or two in ride height.
The oil pan mod however helps prevent damage to the bike in addition to the extra clearance, because the 12R has that goofy shaped pan that is very vulnerable to impact from minor wheelies.

Yeh..what he said...snorkel wont do me any good anymore...bike will be as low as humanly possible...pan, shock, etc...all replaced/modified to see if we can scrub the ground.
Itll never see the street again.

Actually Rac4it, that was what I was feeling and thinking. We just have a higher center of gravity than the busa.
