velocity stacks and no pcIII?
Just curious if anybody might be able to help me out. I want to get the factory racing velocity stacks for my 10r. I have a bmc street filter and muzzy slip-on, and was wondering if it would be detrimental if I don't have a pcIII? I ride at 4500' elevation. Your thoughts, facts and opinions are appreciated.

it is really hard to optimize everything without really setting up your A/F.... I would suggest spending the $$ on your PCIII first and dyno tuning and then get the stacks. or you could just buy them and then dyno and see if you even need the pcIII?

Ditto- Get your tuning equipment 1st, then buy the performance parts. Also since you are at a high elevation make sure you get your tuning work done at a local dynojet shop so you're tuned for your area's elevation.

hate to be a nay-sayer, but i wouldn't mess with aftermarket stacks unless I was really serious about going into the motor. marginal gains, and you can't even see em.
That said, I am deep into stacks and all kinda other shit, cause i'm looking for that last hp and dyno-ing about as often as i get down the track.
for the street?? fuggitaboutit...
IMHO

Entropy, so you would just recommend a pcIII? I don't want to tear into the motor just yet. I street race some fast ass cars and want every advantage I can get. Any recommendations? Don't want to change the wheel base either.

When I saw the word "Factory" I was thinking of OEM! I noticed that they even said that the "Final length had not been decided on". So like Bear Racing, they are still working on their final design for the 10 also. I think I would wait. WIth the ZX12, there were advantages to short and long and later short & Long used together.
