Kawachan......I live about 45 mins from Red River Raceway in Shreveport. Hey, it has the river boats close by, lots of "bars" to peruse, and fine dining and drinking availble close by. Probably not too high to rent, but could just as easily ask Mass if we can run at one of his King of the Track races as an extra class.
I am partial to that track, but I will definitely be willing to travel if I ever get my bike up and running good again. Best so far is 9.14 at 6 over. Stock length now. so I need to do some work to compete with the big dogs!!

chanman; when are you getting back????
I think what we'd like to do is rent a track so we can run our "special" classes.
to cover the track rental I am up for inviting some Busas... by special invitation only!

My vote is for Memphis. there are also riverboats just down the road, and Beall Street is the BOMB!!!!
I will call memphis this week and see the cost, etc....

MIR $1600 both lanes, all day rental 8 hours, including track prep, EMTs and private suites in the tower. Best facility on th east coast.

Memphis looks pretty central, about 700 miles from Gainesville. When is the Prostar race this year?

I dont think we do it during a Prostar weekend... and I believe it would be easier for the weekend for most?
how does MIR sound for everyone? it is a little far for me but I am ok with it!

I'm leaning towards MIR, but am open to Memphis. I suspect a weekend is gonna be tough as most tracks are booked on weekends.

you are right dean, memphis is more central, but seems about a wash for you:
gainesville - MIR = 773mi
gainesville - memphis = 722mi
for me:
houston - MIR = 1452mi!!!
houston - memphis = 650mi
I lean towards MIR, cause Bergie says its cool!

I'm cool with MIR, as long as folks can make it to a mid-Atlantic track. I used to live in Northern VA. I've heard nothing but good stuff about MIR, Jason Miller's father owns the track, so I know they treat bikes well.
