Dragbike Zone: grudge race???
There have been several posts where folks seem to enthusiastically support getting together for a Dragbike Zone "grudge" race, even if it means substantial travel.
What we need is a track where we don't have to compete too much for lanes, good traction, and most importantly, a bar/restaurant nearby for settling the payoffs.
who is going? - where are they from?

TB, keep after it!
My local track, Houston Raceway, isn't central enough, and anyway it costs a ton to rent, so i figure its not a viable option

I suppose we may be cudgeled into making Dragbike Zone T-shirts, hats and sundry if such an event were to happen.
Perhaps even a few of our sponsors might be persuaded to assist as well.

I am in no matter where it's held, but I like SGMP or Commerce, maybe as Bergie suggests before or after a Prostar race.
You're right Karl - everyone's personal best ET is around 8.70-8.90 - should make for a good heads up race.
I'm off to do family stuff, but I'll check this thread Sun nite. Happy holidays to everyone
Prostar SGMP March 5-6
Prostar Commerce April 2-3
Prostar Richmond April 30-May 1

IF ya cant find a central location. Just have two or better yet have two then the winners meet up for a third. The ultimate dragbikezone challange. Who is the top dog. IF yall are looking at 1/4 mile tracks i cant help much. I do have a great 1/8 mile track in the mountains of nc. They will work with us for sure. Traction isnt always the best but thats part of the challange right ?

Red River Raceway in SW Arkansas might also be a good bet. Great track, great traction, kinda-sorta centrally located to Iowa, Kansas, Mich, Illinois, Texas, La, and not all THAT bad from Fla, Carolinas E coast, etc.
Draggs, i sure prefer 1/4 mi, don't know about other folks.
I picture a bunch of test n' tune passes, then have some logical groupings depending upon ET's; lo 9's, and hi 8's seem to be naturals, other "classes" and special individual events as desired; e.g. button shift vs foot shift on bikes with close mph /ET.
The main thing is no rules, no protests, no problems. Sliders, bars, all the fukken electronics and gizmos you want . I just wanna see a bunch of folks get together and have fun; Chilled 12oz trophies for everybody, bragging rights for some.
