Question for kcadby or other zx12 drag racer!!!
What rpm are you shifting at???I have the usual mods,muzzy pipe,PCIII,17-48 gearing.I'm trying to get a good rpm to set my shift light at till I can get to the track and fine tune!!!!!

Are you serious MIKE??? 12,200!?!?!?  I think the rev limiter is at 11,600-11,800???
The Service manual says "ECU usable engine speed 100-11,875"...
What kind of light do you have?
I set the "DYNA Shift Minder" at 11,375 (sets in 125rpm increments) for 1/4 mile and 11,125 for 1/8 mile...
I lower the shift point for 1/8 now because of the 17/51 gearing...at 11,375 I shift 3rd gear 620 to 640ish feet (660'= 1/8mile)...
For ET-Racing I preffer to be in 3rd "early?" becuase it's easier to...'play the finish line'... 
One shift point should be fine for most everyone else though 
If using the tach...I would shift right at RedLine to 11,700max...the angle (how tall/short you are and where you are on the seat) makes a difference here...
The tachs read high so don't freak about seeing some red :o

The highest rpm possible just prior to the limiter yields the highest trapspeed and ET on my bike with a 17T front and stock rear sprocket.

my shift light is set at 11.2. I tried it lower but got lower Et's. I tried 11.4 and hit the limiter too often to suit me in lower gears (17/51 sprockets).
