Crank Repair: WOW!!!!
That's all I can say: WOW!!!
On late Mon afternoon Mon Oct 4, I next-day-air-ed my billet crank to California. Pretty badly damaged #2 rod journal, bearing material welded to the journal and crank throws.
1.it was bent .006"; they straighted it to .0005"
2. balanced it,
3. journal welded,
4. crank shot-peened
5. journal ground,
6. all journals polished,
7. all journals checked for dimension,
8. next day air shipped to me
On Mon Oct 11, it was back in my hot lil hands 1 week: door-to-door
On Tues, David called me to make sure i'd received it in good condition.
WOW!!!! That's service!!!

it cost me about $420 incl 1 day air both ways; i believe that is a dealer price because Johnny Cheese set it up. 1week = priceless
I don't think they stock 5mm cranks but they certainly do 5mm weld ups, timing and cost would obviously be longer/more.
and yes, they do work for some pretty surprising big names; call David and he'll fill you in.

Yep! I seriously don't believe this is the "Potato guy" that Muzzy and Swift previously used when Muzzy cranks were faulty though.

I believe he is NOT responsible for weld up cranks which weren't nitrided if that's what you are refering to.

So this place would be good to send off a stock crank with a damaged journal to get a 4.6mm stroke done then???
