About 3hrs north of me, but I race up there (Pacific and Bremerton) on occasion too. Ft. Lewis is probably 30-40min from Pacific (Seattle's track).

Rain?? Yeah, get used to it from Oct through May. Drag season is March-Oct. There's something open every weekend. I probably raced 60 times (that's races, not rounds, and not including test&tune/etc. days too).

I'm going to the track tomorrow

WannaBe, no strap? Is that because it's a bar bike?

Correct. NHRA rules forbid running a strap and wheelie bars. It's an either/or gig. I haven't gotten around to shortening my forks yet. That's on the list for the off season.

No we are not marketing it. It's a bitch to do because of the compound angle the cover is at. Ours wasn't perfect first time out, but it's fine now. We would have to make a jig up to do it properly first time every time and I doubt there is enough interest to cover that. Unless 5 or so of you want it, then I could approach the guy, but he is busy building my new ride...

Best time so far is 9.22 @ 148mph....in 98 degree weather. I run consitently in the low to mid 20's on good passes. Now I have changed a few things for nitrous and will hopefully be running in the 8,s this weekend. I really wanted to run motor in some cooler weather so I could bring my time down some but it is GRUDGE RACING TIME. I guess thatz not to bad for a big guy..
