Hmmm... Got the same problem with the 12 just past the 60ft mark.if its not too high, I just ride it out or I use a little cluth action to control it.The harder you launch the 12 the more it will wheelie which means you are launching hard. A good thing What are your 60's like and your times?

Thanks, My 12 yr old son took one of those pics I think. I do launch the bike hard, or atleast try to. Best 60ft to date is a 1.54. Its pretty consistant in the 1.55-56 range, but is also hard on the clutch. Anymore base pressure in the lock up it wheelies to a point of aborting the run. What confuses me is it does it at the 60ft clock, not off the line.

I'm not familar with the lock ups but have you tried different springs? What kind of time are you running and is the motor built?

Love the rear shot of the silver 12 and how the rear tire is touching fender/license plate.
Lorcan: that gap under the ram air SURPRISES me!! Mine has like, no gap! Very interesting....

I am 225 with gear and I have been 9.22 @ 148...with the 1290 kit. I am geared to low to run the quarter with spray, It would run out of gear, so I have only sprayed my last 3 gears with a 40 shot to run a 9.01 @ 158.....with that run my shift lite was on when I crossed the line in 6th gear....One of these days I will regear to see what I can get out of her spraying thru the whole quarter.

Lorcan seems to be running a hydraulic puller??? That or he has thrown away the OEM puller for weight considerations????

I THINK I can see what is happening with the data logger.
With my heap, soft static spring pressure allows me to pin it and throw the clutch away right outa the hole. RPM goes high right after launch, but the arms start locking the clutch up at only 30mph or so, and it drags the rpm down to 4000 or so. As grunt starts pulling the rpm back up, the front wheel comes up with it.
I have no weight on the arms, and now I am appreciating the folks who said to get a multistage...
BTW: those of you who are running a lockup with soft static spring pressure (like I am); take an hour and drop yr oil pan to check your oil pickup screen... I ain't kidding...

BA, we don't strap the front down hard on airfield tracks - we need the grip.
Kev - that is our hydraulic clutch conversion. Does away with stock "twist and break" arm altogether and pulls straight on the clutch. Works great and never breaks.
We have had problems this year with our JMC arm and have ordered a Spondon. If you are running a JMC watch out for the roll pins on the adjusters working their way out
