ride hieght how low is too low

just wondering what yall thought about how low to make your bike. Here there is no limit how low u can go. With my links on the lowest hole my upper bracing on my swingarm will hit is this gonna affect my launching or racing abilities or would it be kinda like a strut on a bar bike any ideas

I have the muzzy links in the last hole (3 hole setup). Lowered the forks two inch's then strapped it. Problem is I busted the pan yesterday at the track. Pulled the front end up dropped it down with no travel something had to go.

RR,
dropping it 2" in the forks and strapping it will sure get you low, TOOOOO low, it seems, eh? Were you dragging yr lowers when launching???

I mushroomed my oil pan with 1" at the forks and a pretty tight strap, but it was landing from an over-vertical wheelie I hope I NEVER repeat. IMO 1" and strap seems about right unless you have a sidewinder & cut pan.

what about the rear thats my concern i cut my lowers after i about drug the back off so im not worried about that. MY biggest concern is the over brace on my arm hitting the bottom of the battery box and inner fender area. It will hit and my tire wont. Would this be like launching not having a shock. Its only gonna move about an inch and half. Just wondering if the bottoming of the suspenson is gonna affect the launch

MUZZY LOWER LINK CENTER HOLE AND DROP THE FRONT TUBES BY A 1INCH AND LET IT RIP. YOU WILL STILL BE ABLE TO DRIVE ON THE STREET AND NOT TOUCH ANYTHING ON THE GROUND

I agree....But....I had to use the middle hole just to ride the bike on the street (I'm short).

street - If you ride on the street in the middle position - Be very careful of even small speed bumps and transitions in the pavement or parking lots....Doesn't take much to scrap the bottom of the fairing.

Strip - I had a really nice undertail on my bike and rubbed the paint right off launching the bike at the strip. If you hit (tire or brace to tail section) too hard coming off the launch, you also have the risk of upsetting the suspension - making a pogo effect and will effect your launch.

You want the bike as low as possible with-out hitting anything. You could try to play with the suspension a little but not too stiff.... you want that weight distribution to the rear wheel.
