1270 and a good shot of NOS ?
Thinking of mabey the 1270 with a big shot of Nos. What mods do i need to do to the head and stuff to ensure the motor can handle a big shot of Nos. By a big shot I mean 50, or bigger. I've heard the 1270 can go high 5's on motor, but with what else done to the motor ? Head work, cams, a lock up ? I weigh about 175, and can 60ft around 1.50-1.53.
Does anyone run a wet system on a zx12 ? Details about this also if you have any. I need tha knowlage !

Johnny care to share any details on that setup.
kit type,
jetting,
fuel type and pressure,
timing ,
any other important stuff you can think of.
How many passes has it survived?

With good 60's in the .40's or 50 I would think 8.70's or better. Yes?? No???

1 bad 12 -- if you can 60' (consistently and low #"s) you could go high 5.80's all night with a 60 shot on a ZX12R...

l went 1.54 60ft 3.98 330ft 6.04 1/8th with my 1320 on motor and the A F is not correct. So on spray it should be 5.80's. Get a 1290

1270 with a 40hp dry shot will net a 5.8 for me.
Make sure that you put heavy duty valve springs in that head if your shooting any more than 50 hp.

you know it only cost about 280.00 each way from No.Cal to Texas.
never too far.
But if you have not replaced your exhaust valves that is a MUST!!!!!!
