TFA Iowa chapter gets #3!!!!
Well guys got my third win for the season tonight!! had a blast and it make 3 out of 5 finals.....will post more later.

Well Long story short(maybe). I started the weekend out by putting in a New clutch and goodies...Muzzy Rocks!! and then got my parts in from the painters and had to put everything together. Oh also put a new chain on, so I had to cut and get that on. then Saturday morning finished everything up. Time trials start at 2pm. so I had to leave around 1 to make it. Well after a great TFA Breakfast of eggs, cornbeef hash, and a Pile of hashbrowns with sausage gravy on them and toast of course! I was off to the garage to get finished.
At the garage, as always an hour long job takes me 3 because I am always double checking myself it seems. good and bad! well all and all I loaded the bike about 1:15, so I was happy with that, I will only miss 1 time run. so I get to the track and they just called up bikes. so I unload and bust ass to get up there and I just miss the bike class but for some reason??? they let me make a pass anyway. .030light and we are off ran a 6.20 bike was acting a little weird going through the traps? it seemed like it was cutting out some.
I added a little fuel and ran a second pass get this light..... -.0003 Yep that is just about as close to green as you can get LOL.. my best light ever! and it is red... LOL.. oh man is this how the day is going to go? Oh ran a 6.17@119.62. One note I am back to a 6"+ arm and with the new paint I had to have a Tshirt between me and the tank so I would not scratch it(it has to go back on monday for more clear and buffing)... so first was wheelie central!!
last and final time trial, .014light and a 6.18@119.21
righ after the bike was acting very strange??? so I yanked the battery and it was very low! see I can get away with that now since I am not sponsored by Interstate anymore... LOL.. but charged her up full and ready for first round elim's...
first round I have to race my good buddy Ryan, you all know him as Osti33! It I have to say was one of the best races of the year!! he has a Muzzy 1375 and I have the Muzzy 1361... he was dialed a 6.01 and I was a 6.17. He had a .0372 light and I had a .0464 light(my worst light of the entire day.. kind of  ... ) It was a great Race!!! the finish margin was .0273 at the line. he ran a 6.0507 and I ran a 6.1742 for the win...
Second round I get the bye and launch way to hard and hear my chain click and it was just a mess. but hey great time to have the screwup is in the bye round! had a .0458light and ran a 6.424@117.96
Third round had a very good drag bike and I did not know this untill we crossed but he red lit. I had a .0382light and ran a 6.1204@119.65. ummm. time to dial down???? the air was so strange it was up and down all day?? the elivation was moving all over the place I bet it changed up and down between 500 and 1000ft. crazy.
fourth round I had another redlight agenst me but I cut a .030light and run a 6.1904 @119.24, I think that round I slipped the clutch out way to much. but I will take it.
and In the 5th and final round i had to race Eric, or Opie as most of our group calls him... One thing this guy can NOT handle is pressure and he basiclly said to everyone that the only reason i win is because I am lucky.... LOL Ok I will take it... This race will make my 21st carrer luck only win. So we go and line up and he has run in the right lane all day long and the fastest bike gets the lane choice so off to the left lane he goes, oh I am so mean... do I have to finish or can you guess??? Opie leaves and goes .005 RED..... I see it and smile and leave away to a .1106 light for the win, I also on this run slipped my clutch again a little to long and ran a 6.1906 on a 6.15 dial.. Well I will take it! and then we stopped and had an offical TFA mexican fiestia!!!! mmmmm good!
Oh and I jumped from 8th in points to 4th with that win last night.... It was a great night!!

Pretty sweet man....gotta question.
I notice the entire bottom half of your fairing is gone....does this flap around in the wind at the end of the track and otherwise cause a mess? Or do you have some other fastener or mounting point for the leading edge where you cut it?

Mike...You have to tell me where you got those rear foot peg replacements!!!...Thats what I am Talking about!!!

No the fairing doesent move at all. not that I notice? and I have even removed the inner front for more cooling. I have a new Oil Pan design coming very soon! I will let everyone see it as soon as I have it done.
and CR the foot peg replacements are totally off the hook! A very good friend of mine makes them for me I will see if he will make any more if your interested.

Sweet job, Mike!!!
As for the footpeg replacements, please put me down for a pair too. The only reason I keep the reat footpegs on is so that I have a place to hook the rear tie downs in the trailer. Those pimpin replacements would do the job with the tie downs.

my 60' were a little soft this weekend, I could not stay up on the tank.. the paint was not finished totally. so I had to put a Tshirt between me and the tank so I would not scratch it... so I had a couple of high 1.5's and low 1.6's for the day usually it is mid to low1.5's the way the bike is set up.

Yep no more interstate.... leathers, paint. but since they still pay my paycheck, I will probably throw a couple of stickers on the bike when it is all done at the end of this week.
