if you oil light is coming on it is a Big Problem. but depending on what the problem is depends on how bad. main item would be are the pressure sensors the same for both motor's? or does you ecu read them differently? and where on the oil level are you running the motor?
that info will help.

as far as the pressure sensor go i have no idea i checked the oil pressure with a manual guage on both motors got the exact same reading so i dont think i have a pressure prob contacted lee performance they say oil pressure is fine i think the oil got so hot that it was coming on due to low oil presssure when i let motor go below idle. the light came on like way below idle i was testing where the clutch let out at idle the switch is set to go off at 2psi motor only runs at 7psi at idle i think i just got it down so low that the light came on . on the way home as motor cooled to normal operating temp the problem went away less than three miles from the strip im going by coolant temps ran about 228 at the track and 178 on the highway so not sure what the deal here is the reason im so skitz just lost my other motor about three weeks ago only ran this motor about 400 miles on street only oil level was set to factory spec in sight glass

i may be making LESS of this than I should but I'm not as concerned as Mike is yet.
I've gotten an oil light once or twice (out of 50 times) while tipping the bike to the right and getting oil on the clutches. I was doing it for too long at a time. Is this what you are doing?
I wasn't too sure what this meant: "i bogged the motor below idle just letting oil in my clutches "
of course, on my situation, I would tip the bike upright instantly, but since you are referring to a near idle condition, and trying to get oil on the clutches I figured you were doing something similar.
Now, if you're just idling and BAM, low oil pressure. I'd be a bit concerned!

I can't seem to make up my mind between Motorex oil and Mobil-1.
I've tried Royal Purple on other bikes and didn't notice any trouble.
I 'need' to seek out some Motul......
