SBS records fall in Virginia
Kent Stotz went 7.429 @ 194.04 in the second round, and 7.423 @ 194.24 in the third round - setting the ET end of the SBS record - congrats Kent Stotz!!
Chuck Cunningham went 7.727 @ 194.86 in the second round, and 7.562 @ 196.13 in the third round - to set the MPH end of the SBS record - congrats Chuck Cunningham!!
Of course, it's down to Rickey & Kent in the finals, Muzzy Kawasaki vs. Velocity Honda, to be settled St Louis due to rainout. Rickey was #1 qualifier and ran a 7.563 @ 187.68 to holeshot Chuck Cunningham into the finals. Good job Rickey & Doug.

So how does the final go at the next round. Before qualifing or after qualfing and then before the first round?

I think they run the final during qualifying - not sure if the first or second round. You'd think they'd give them a pass to get a handle on the track.

THAT is...just SOOOooo not real (sounding in my brain)...
I ran 7.30s @ 186mph in '91' on a freeking CAR TIRE WHEELIE BAR-ed FunnyBike...
