Won the first race at SGMP ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!
Went to Cecil Ga. this last Sat. for the FIRST EVER South Georgia Motorsports Park race...
The track is 17-miles north of Valdosta Ga. right off of I-75...EXIT-32...Cecil Ga...
RODE MY BIKE THERE...about 140 miles...
Blew my turbo-plenum off the carbs a couple of times during time runs with the boost turned up...did a 6.60 @ 112mph ON THE BACK WHEEL accross the 660Ft finish line on the ONE run that the plenum didn't come off...well I did also run a 6.25 on the one other run that the plenum came off right at the finish line (and I kept the front wheel "low enough to power through the 1/8-mile")FUN Fun fun...
GOTTO strap the plenum before I run it with the boost turned up anymore
The track IS a 1/4-mile track...VERY NICE but...they only raced 1/8-mile for this first race since the track is so new...NO rubber burned in yet...
A ProMod car ran a high 3-sec @ 170+MPH!!! during qualifying...
There were a few LOW 4-sec runs...and both cars ran 4-teens in the final round...ALL OVER THE TRACK in that final run...they both wanted to win BAD!?!?!?
Anyway...it was COOOL to win the first race they ever had...took home $150 even though there was only 4-bikes there!?!?!?
Entry was 30-bucks so...I'm thinkin they were GLAD we were there since the payout was MORE THAN 100%!!!
YEEEup...
That's similar to what I said when the ET came up on the ScoreBoard...
Was theee SOFTEST clutch set-up I've ever heard on a BLOWER car (with tranny anyway)...
That's what it takes to run times like that on a NEW track and HE obviously knew it...

That must have looked funny if you strapped the trophy to the Rex...hehe

That was the one thing that WAS depressing...
NO trophy (they were surprised they didn't have one) they just didn't think about bikes (as usual)...
Didn't invite me for Winners Circle Pictures either...
Bikes have always been the RedHeadStepChildren
STILL don't have any way to "store pictures" so I don't have any to post...
I started taking pictures before the motor TopEnd was back on...and it still had the stock swingarm...
I WAS ready to carry a trophy home on the bike...even though I had multiple offers to carry it home for me...
